Whatever dude. Live in your negativity.
Not “whatever”, you’re wrong, lol. It ain’t “negativity”, it is objectivity. DF is low-energy.
It isn’t a wonder in the slightest Blizzard pivoted with their marketing with their new “Razsageth” trailer to try to go for more high-energy vibes, because as much as some people claim to want a cozy “return to home” style marketing campaign, a number of people want high-energy excitement, they want content to do and monsters to slay as the core loop of World of Warcraft.
Is someone making you play?
Who are you asking?
Personally speaking, my healer friend said she was quitting WoW if we didn’t play together season one, so I’m probably going to play season one simply because I do expect things to get better and want to have people who I enjoy playing with to play with when it does get better.
I was more excited about the Fated Raids than I was DF and… that persists.
This is a really thin xpac content wise. But we ll see, maybe 10.1 will impress?
Zero excitement whatsoever. In fact, I’m waiting until the last minute to purchase the expansion in the hope that something stops me.
They launched way too close to release of the fourth patch and way too close to the holidays. People are focused on Thanksgiving and then Christmas, they should have went with the early November release or waited until January.
I’m cautiously excited. It sounds like most of my pain points were solved. It seems I’m going to be able to hop on and play without any mandatory side grind, and I can switch alts at will, and PvP will be more accessible which is usually what I do when I exhausted all content.
I’m only disappointed with some class changes, I hoped talents would offer some pre-legion playstyles, but they mostly seem like a rearrangement of current classes and powers into the trees. Like, I hoped there would be a way to build a mobile ret paladin with weaker burst from WoD, or more dot oriented Aff Lock without the instant damage spender, or an old ranged survival hunter spec with lots of instant elemental shots.
Quit for the first year, at the very least.
You have no idea how much time it’s going to take from your daily routine.
You have no idea how fast they grow up.
Each month is like a year’s worth of change later on.
Take as many pictures and videos as you can.
yea thats pretty much what i plan to do. thats why im just like iffy about buying it. sure i will have time to play until april when the due date is but outside of that pretty much not much time at all. not to mention i’d have to bounce from this house to my house so the baby can visit my family every couple days.
have a friend i used to play WoW with and his wife and i think they realized later on well he did that he doesn’t spend as much time with his kids as he should especially since he travels a lot for work so over the years they got older and he stopped playing. spends almost everyday he can with his wife and kids now given they are older. used to play a lot with him but over time just started playing less and less.
i still talk to them and what not
did you read about the pvp future? in an interview with annie Ion mentioned they were looking at making some smaller bg maps for maybe 5 or 7 man pvp and that rated solo que right now is basically in experimentation. if solo shuffle works out we could see 5 or 7 man rated bgs which would be so cool

My excitement for DF comes mostly from being excited to leave shadowlands and everything i hated about it
Well the last 2 expansions have been massive let downs with Blizzard being stubborn and refusing to listen to player feedback until its way too late. Azerite Armor, Island Expeditions, Covenant swapping, having to wait weeks to craft tier in Zereth Mortis. So I would say most people aren’t excited for DF but more so just hoping Blizzard doesn’t drop the ball again.
Am I excited about riding dragons when I have been riding a dragon mount for over a decade, no.
I’m not excited about it because it doesn’t get us back into the heart of Azeroth and stories that actually made this game - Orcs vs Humans. Just more far away nonsense with stories that don’t really tie in well.
Past experience suggests they just… won’t add things.
Eh. I see a handful of very vocal people, but there’s zero hype for it among players on my server, and activity levels have never been this low in my friend groups for an expansion launch.
I see a lot of people saying there’s lots of hype, but that’s different from there being lots of hype.
Op post about not being hyped couldn’t crack 20 likes in a 100+ reply.thread
Dunno, seemed pretty rude to me. Dismissing someone’s opinions as “you’re just burned out and should stop playing” is rude, and more than a little bit patronizing.
Wait, you’re saying people posting downer topics get less likes than fluff? Color me shocked.
Also hardly a reflection of hype for the expansion, since there are very few posts that are highly liked that are full of expac hype either.
