Anyone Else Miss Legion?

Yes! I miss my weapon, I miss fighting the demons. I even started to love the dungeons. Probably the best part was the raids though. Trilliax? Botanist? Plus the fights were just right with the mechanics.

Wasn’t too fond of Argus or all the green, but so much better than anything we have seen in BfA.

I miss BC-MOP game play and character design, and gearing choices, to include vendors. Every thing else is garbage.

I wish I hadn’t been taking a break from WoW during Legion. It actually seemed like a great expansion.

The the only thing about legion in nostalgic about is the mythic+. Idk it felt like every week was push week and you didnt have to do all these crazy skips to avoid overpulling. Aside from that I dont miss grinding AP for the 5 specs I wanted to stay conoetitive with.

Yes, but it had its flaws. BfA to me is all of the bad parts of Legion (rng) mixed in with new, boring or barely tested features (IEs, Azerite).

I remember never being bored or running out of stuff to do in Legion.
The subject content also made me reminisce about TBC.

BFA is just a lazy copy/paste with enough changes that make it horrid from every angle.

I miss it literally every day.

One of my key factors is how fun my class is.

Right now, I love Elemental Shaman. Its better than Legion.

Took some work getting here though.

Not really

I was actually kinda missing MoP the other day

Artifacts, especially the talking ones. The followers were fun to have around. Mage Tower was a beast…a sort of let down when it was over and then BfA was released in a not so ready to be released state.

I remember feeling like Legion was on some grand scale. Questing through Stormheim, Val’sharah (RIP bestdragonwaifu), Azsuna, & Highmountain was so immersive for me. Starting out with Stormheim just getting the Autumn-arbor feeling from the place really clicked with me.

As frustrating as HM was to navigate sometimes, the zones felt really long and enjoyable. Except when Jale Rivermane started talking. Seriously Blizz, don’t use her VA again. Awful. I can’t tell you how many times I reflexively screamed “SHUT UP, JALE!” at my computer.

Anyway, after hitting 110 and heading into Suramar, I was blown away by the zone design. Suramar City and the surrounding areas were gorgeous, and I spent a LOT of time there.

Zandalar and Kul Tiras just don’t seem to hold that same majesty. I find myself constantly let down by the zone design in the new content.

I’m hoping they do a better job with 8.2, because this is really disappointing. I haven’t been this disappointed since Cataclysm’s Twilight Highlands. Even Draenor was at least nicer to look at, even if the content sucked.

Edit: Could have done without the Broken Shore, though. That was awful. No rose-colored glasses there. Yeek. Hopefully we never see that again. Also, RNG legendaries. If they want to add them back in, put them at the end of a questline or something.

Nope terrible expansions. Had no luck in it. It only got good near end somewhat. last one I like was TBC. Not bad was MOP, wraith and lesser extent Cata. Not sure why. Just like water zone.

I miss the mage tower

Wait, you are a new player and didn’t whine and cry that you had to accomplish a set of tasks and farm curreny in older content to get something you want?

Well done! I wish there were more people like you playing.

Not really. I think Legion was a really good looking expansion, and I actually enjoyed what I was doing there, but I never finished the story, and never felt like the story was all that important. I thought the Zandalar story was better. It felt more personal I think.

I think the Zandalar story is going to get stretched out to the point that I never finish it though. What’s happening with Vol’jin? I have to do a raid to get the Jaina story? I like LFR, but I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to wait to get through it.

You know what I did miss? Pandaria. I have bought several expansions at once, and skipped out of Pandaria to Draenor and I don’t even remember Draenor. I maxed my professions, so I must have done something there, but after that I went to the Broken Isles and that was just bad. I didn’t finish any of my professions. It was just so bad.

Went back and finished up most of the stories in Pandaria and I am very happy with this choice.

Again, I think the design of Legion was really good. I just didn’t care about the story, which is where I would get a sense of nostalgia.

Edit: Turns out it was Legion I never finished my professions. Dang it.

Not really. If I miss any expansion it’s MoP.

You know what I remember the most about Legion? “Can we do sssomething more interessssting thissss time?”

I enjoyed a lot of the WQs and general themes of Legion more than I’m enjoying in BFA, then there was Class questlines, Artifact abilities/talent trees, and Mount questlines and etc… Tons of stuff to do for EVERY class so leveling something else up always had a pretty big appeal. The Order halls were great hangout spots, I liked them a lot more than Boralus. Server felt a lot more alive in Legion than it does so far in BFA.

I would kill for new Challenge mode cosmetic sets.

Yep, I miss it. I miss the class halls and all they had to offer. I liked obtaining my champions. I miss questing in Highmountain and many of the NPCs there. Especially Lasan Skyhorn. Sure I could visit him and some of the others in BfA but that would ruin my image of him.

For one thing, they’d started making first aid a more useful profession… before apparently deciding halfway through, that it was too much work and dropping the reputation group known as the First Responders; whom I assume would have offered nice rewards for building up reputation with them, and then dropping the whole profession entirely in BfA.

And it was the time I’d admired Liadrin most, as she had fought for the safety and protection of all of Azeroth for several expansions and was continuing to do so… up until she suddenly decided, “Hey, I like these new purple elves! Oh, they’re joining the Horde? Well then, I hate the Alliance!”
