Anyone else just not really feeling this expansion?

the ancient ones, the eternal ones, the first ones, the spicy ones, the salty ones.

Do blizz even know what they are writing at this point.

I just finished leveling in SWTOR and compared to that, the story is pretty darn lackluster. We were told about meaningful choice, but if the story and characters are not engaging it’s really not very meaningful.

Wow seems to be more end game driven. The quests have always been boring chores that you have to endure just to get to the good stuff. Hopefully they succeeded in that end game magic again.

only the trolls and forums crying are not feeling the expac, everyone else that are actually playing the game, are loving it!

Sl is amazing, stop whinning, if you hate it so much go to play something else, and stop wasting our time.

I had a lot of fun leveling up the quest. But I’m feeling bored as soon as the daily world quest showed up.

I’m the opposite.

I’ve been taking my time and walking around, staring at everything in wide-eyed wonder.

I absolutely love this expansion so far.

They want you to grind and to sell your soul to progression systems. I do not accept. However you must understand that many do. So for me I will just play as I feel good for. I will enjoy some of the story. But the extra BS will kill this game. Mark my words.

I feel exactly this way … I can’t explain it, usually I’m hooked start to finish, maybe it’s too many cut scenes, but I have no drive at all to finish

I’m into my third zone and it’s not improving one bit.

BFA was underwhelming from the moment it was announced at Blizzcon. While it did get better over time it was just not a good follow-up to Legion. I’m not far enough into Shadowlands to be sure, but so far I think its a step up from BFA and its been decent so far. I do think they need to move away from the borrowed power upgrades that we get every expansion now only to have it all be useless by the time the next xpac rolls around. It was nice in legion, but not for every single expansion. There should be some kind of progress or upgrade that goes from xpac to xpac beyond just leveling.

Getting to level 60 was boring as hell. I stopped so many times to go to another character and just enjoy certain parts of BFA that I did enjoy, like mechagon. I had to take constant breaks in order to not fall asleep. After I finished all four campaigns and chose my covenant it started to get a lot better. I kind of knew this was going to happen, it sort of happened in BFA So I was prepared for it. Just keep chugging along as best you can.

That gameplay path existed in Vanilla, but there was actually a fair bit more in regards to socialization and role playing. Ever since then however, the devs have focused almost exclusively on chasing loot, and have never really implemented anything significant that wasn’t focused on loot.

They even had plans for expanding social features, like the dance studio, that they eventually just shelved.

After playing Torghast I’m starting to wonder how much of it is because BfA pruning and losing Azerite traits just totally wrecked a bunch of classes. I’m sure all the M+ poopsockers are happy everything is uniform and boring but I’m afraid once I get around to leveling an alt it’s just going to be more of the same.

I’ve always leveled in pvp even before warmode was a thing and it’s just depressing to see how things are currently. Used to jump ship from a quest to help people hunt down gankers on the other side of the map. The choice of pvp was up to the server back when and it brings with it a community. Whether your saving, killing, getting ganked, or having just fooling around with the other side it all had meaning the community interacted with each other. World pvp was never about balance unless something is beyond overturned like wrath death knights it was about interacting with people. Most encounters in pvp dont even end up in violence. It used to be the short window before flight that the community came out in bulk but this linear approach killed it like how splitting zan and kul did last expac. It’s not that the love for wpvp gas decline ld but rather their design choices have made it difficult.

It’s growing on me. Truth be told I was kind’ve enjoying the happy little rut I dug for myself in BfA. Luckily there’s some fun stuff happening in SL that are keeping me going. I’m cautiously optimistic considering the game hasn’t been a massive disappointment around every corner like I expected

I am indifferent towards the expansion.

I’m old and there’s nothing really to look forward to after completing the leveling/storyline because I raided eons ago and I just don’t feel like doing it anymore. End game is just repetitive busy work and maybe sometimes doing LFR so there isn’t much to look forward to.

With that said, I actually really like the leveling/storyline so far even though I know some people don’t.

If it was a kiwi accent we would all be saying BFA was the best expansion since wotlk.
