Anyone else having blood pressure issues in these Blitz games?

I’m not even honor level 100. Does that mean I’m bad? I mean, yeah I think I am about average, which apparently means “bad” according to some in this forum.

Average players are not bad. They are, literally, average.

No wonder so many people are complaining about having a hard time in blitz if they think honor level is so important.

Not picking up orbs at the start is a strat that I’ve seen in RBGs, it works, you put the enemy on split rez.

If you can organize where people die, they respawn on opposite sides of the map from each other and you can keep it that way.

But this was all in 10v10 while on Discord.

Yep, but you need the whole team to be on the same wavelength which in a PUG isn’t always going to happen.
Players need to adapt to blitz if they want to climb in it, not the other way around.

Absolutely, just wanted to point out that both strats work.

But everyone has to agree, or neither does.

Melee classes shouldn’t pick up the orbs, the reducing in movement speed completely handicaps you.

Is this true of warriors?

Is this true of tank specs?

I mean I generally agree, but if you don’t think a strat will work you should say so in chat. Feels more like the guy went AFK in the preparation phase and then didn’t bother to read the chat

This is why people think Honor Levels dont matter. You assume lower = worse. No one said that.

A person with honor level 5 and a person with honor level 300 are going to have a different level of experience. Its data. It doesnt provide an answer, but it helps you make decisions.

Unless something’s changed the received damage modifier for holding the orbs massively outweighs any mitigation you’d enjoy in tank spec.

Much better to let melee be melee and hand off the orbs to classes / specs that excel at range like hunters and mages.

Although it is worth mentioning that at the moment control builds are incredibly powerful.

Which specs are those?

I don’t get angry but I do get disappointed. I’m new to the gamemode, and struggled a lil at first but I learned. What I dislike most atm is when people zerg a node and get stuck there fighting a smaller number of people because of how strong healers are and don’t break off a few people, letting the other team take more bases.

As for this…

Nine times out of ten the healer is at fault IMO, don’t sit at a base or cart, people see someone there and don’t take over when they normally would and you are too important to base sit most of the time.

Blame the healer. Smart.

I do leave, but i at least let them know.

Frost mages, disc priests, I forget which hunter build… Specs that are good at controlling enemy movement are going to survive much better than a tank trying to mitigate their way around a 100% received damage debuff.

Melee classes generally shouldn’t carry the orbs for the obvious reason that their effective range is also well within the effective range of every. other. class. At least ranged classes have some ability to deal with melee’s.

Interesting thought. I dont play melee so ive never considered it. I do sometimes carry as Resto.

Im assuming not even Guardian is immune to the orb debuff?

Honor level is not important in itself, but odds are pretty good a player with HL150 is going to have a more instinctive knowledge of the maps than someone with HL15

From the info I have I don’t think there is a movement debuff in blitz. I’ve watched a few vids and the damage and healing is mentioned but no movement debuff.

Well yeah, someone who has such a low honor level has done very little PvP overall.

But the difference between say, someone at 100 and 300 isn’t going to be as much.

Fair point. You also don’t know if they have earned all that in one insane arena season or spamming WG premades 2 expansions ago.

It’s still information

I think i was never so close of quiting wow for good than now despiste being the best expansion so far, blitz have taken me out of my center…
