Marks and Disc were gutted, and haven’t received any meaningful iteration since the initial reveal. The current state is unacceptable, and I’m on the fence to see if they’re willing to backtrack some of the dumbest pruning. If not, I’ll take the expansion off, maybe come back for Northrend.
I’m not a big fan of the extent to which they’re pruning classes and removing so much skill expression, but as for add-ons and accessibility, I feel a lot more at ease after reading their latest blog post on the topic. I’m very unhappy with the loss of WeakAuras because even without its ability to access combat information, it’s still a powerful and intuitive tool for UI personalization, though I’m sure there are alternative methods of adding your own textures and animations to the UI.
Still, I’ll be playing the crap out of Midnight
The people you’re asking this question are going to play no matter what it looks like just so they can keep trolling here. Its a way of life! ![]()
Midnight is past my bedtime anyway, so yes.
I’m usually asleep before Midnight so yes.
All I read is:
“I really like ability bloat, and having overly complicated rotations for the sake of complication. I want my weak auras to tell me EXACTLY what to do, and when to do it. If that is not going to be in Midnight, I no subscribe”
Seems about right?
I will not be renewing my 12 month sub, and TBH prob won’t even buy Midnight until MAYBE season 3 after they fix all the things they break and add content that we can play. I have ZERO interest in decorating pixels in a solo instance that is actually just a gold sink.
WoW has over 12 million subscribers. I think its doing just fine. lol
In two years when blizzard comes out with the usual “we are rolling back changes made in midnight…” I wanns see the people that rigjt now are happy and on blizzards side turn around in surprise
Well, seeing as how every few years they need to roll back ability bloat, stat squish and level squish.. i’d say we’ll be just fine ![]()
In another way to describe what you tried to say I would put it like this:
I love the classes I play and how my abilities and rotations flow. I’ve gotten used to how it works and I’ve gotten pretty good at it. Now I hear all this talk about drastically simplifying things and that makes me nervous and I am going down a mental rabbit hole of disaster thinking.
In reality we don’t have enough information to really know how it’s going to feel playing classes yet. The anxiety is understandable, but so is the goal Blizzard is aiming for.
I’ll buy it plan a character play the intro. Log out and go back to classic era probably like I have the last 3.
Blizzard had me convinced to play.
Then the out of touch mage tower decision happened. Then I saw the artstyle changing throughout DF and War Within from gritty to smooth. Housing furniture looks awful and has a completely different artstyle than the rest of the game.
Then haranir were announced while “old” races have barely any customization options. That is when it hit me that the new developers want to erase everything from the “old” developers.
My last hopes were on the bulky amani model. Nope, that’s just for NPCs and we get a green tint (which took 5 seconds in photoshop to make) for the darkspear.
Pass.
There have been alpha videos for over a month now. We know exactly. In fact many specs are almost finished and havent recieved alpha updates in weeks.
Fellowship has maintained a maximum player count in the low 40k range since 2 days after it entered early access. Frankly this comment is weird please don’t interact with me again.
