Anyone else going to sleep through Midnight?

I’ll be playing. I’m using LeMix to level new alts to follow my new Main. Tiffany is upper level management now and will spend the Expansion behind a desk.

While I will be playing the expansion I do find myself feeling very put off so far with many of the class changes especially.

I’m very concerned they’re pruning things again and will inevitably have to once again bring those same abilities back. I wish they just would skip the in-between and not remove them at all.

No, if it’s really going to be that bad I’m just not going to get the expansion at all and I’ll go play something else. Maybe go back to FF14 since it’s coming to Switch 2.

I pre-ordered it just for the hell of it, if i don’t like the changes then, ill worry about it then. It’s only money. Always down for new things.

I’ve been playing fellowship.

It’s basically mythic plus if it respected how and when I want to play.

I have zero desire to turn my experience into a weekly chore that ruins the fun, which is why I’m playing fellowship instead. Not interested in a weekly login lootbox vault or made to feel like a second class citizen because I don’t want to raid because of the unfun and terrible lockout system.

I’m actually the most active, around and after midnight, irl. Its probably a sign. Mayhaps Midnight is the expansion I will be the most active during.

They really need to delay midnight’s launch until summer, as it’s nowhere close to what even a proper open-alpha should look like.

They’re working on things that should have a year of lead time before beta, but clearly are being added last minute and in future builds.

Havent preorderd, most likely will stop playing until Ion’s MOBA mindset changes.

Except for the healing, same for me.

Definitely on the fence with this one.

No intention to pickup Midnight anytime soon.

I haven’t logged into wow in a few days, not even to check on something for 5 minutes and dip.

My current addiction to Fellowship really confirmed that Blizzard needs to let go of the choreslop systems design that forces engagement into an unfun manner.

Some issues of WoW and why Fellowship has me:

  • FOMO weekly vault.
  • Weekly crafting Token.
  • Weekly raid lockouts.
  • Can’t earn myth track in dungeon loot.
  • Dousing everyone in welfare gear straight into a gear wall where the weekly choreslop picks up.

Fellowship is basically mythic+ if it were allowed to stand up on its own and engage how and when we want.

Nope, not at all.

Just like everyone else here, I’ll be playing midnight… minus throwing temper tantrum.

I haven’t purchased it yet.
I don’t care about the addon stuff. I can do keys just fine without them. Granted I haven’t pushed anything beyond a 15, and just been doing vault keys and helping friends.
I think some of the pruning looks good, resto druids hots healing rather then so many micro heals adding up more. I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt at least.
I do think that some of the Apex talents really missed the mark, which if they are not big damage gains is fine. I think Feral/Resto/Boomy are good ones, things that you are going to use get empowered and do additional things, I think some of the ones like Frost DK which last I knew was a lower end talent point for the Dragon kind of pidgeon hole where people are spending their points a bit hard.
But I guess thats a small complaint.
Honestly the biggest hold up though, besides waiting to see if mythic plus looks like it’ll be enjoyable (and if my friends are going to play) is casual pvp. I haven’t enjoyed random bgs a lot for a while now, my bg to bg game quality has been pretty low. I had a 2nd account I just que’d bgs on while my son played CoD and I cancelled it over this. Casual PvP was always something that I loved doing late in the season with 1 or 2 friends, but at this point I just quit for the season instaed.

Tbh, I’m as casual so I kinda sleep through every expansion but I’ve been enjoying working through achievements slowly but surely. Not much will probably change for me, granted we can get our bug situation under control.

I’m hoping they get rid of LFR in Midnight as well.

The scaling back of ability bloat is a welcomed thing by the majority of the playerbase.

That’s fine, but that game doesn’t interest me. Dungeons are not the reason I play WOW, I mostly play for the story and world.

First xpac I’m not excited for. Too much uncertainty in too many areas for me. I’m not even sure I can do serious content due to colorblind issues. Will they fix the issues, provide good addon replacements, or just take away the addons that fix them for me?
Delves are probably the only thing that will keep me playing as it doesn’t matter in them currently.
I’m waiting and will be buying the lowest cost option with gold.

I see midnight being my last expansion and I’m already starting to regret my pre-purchase. Pretty sure that the MMO scene is dying and whatever they are going to do to wow soon is going to change it beyond recognition.

MS is going all in on copilot/this is Xbox/Ai/lose the mouse and keyboard. It’s inevitable that EVERYTHING needs to fall in line with the vision. Wow will not be able to survive this transition.

As MS moves away from individual pc gaming to a control all the gaming platform, other games that don’t follow their model will have to be found, or just stop playing MMOS as they were known.

My humble and hopefully wrong opinion. :slightly_frowning_face:
