Anyone but Wrathion (Black Dragonflight and spoilers of 10.1)

Even Wrathion would be better than Ebyssian, after that pathetic display in the forbidden reach cutscene.
Childish moralizing like that is so tiresome.

Who could possibly care?

The Black Dragon Flight has been defunct for years. There hasn’t been an aspect of earth at least since Deathwing died and arguably much longer than that. I highly doubt that Deathwing in his madness was dutifully performing his responsibilities as the Aspect of Earth. Whatever those may have been (nothing.).

Thrall filled as the aspect for a hot minuet, but only long enough to kill the last aspect. And behold; The world keeps spinning. It’s almost like the aspects aren’t necessary at all.

Wrathion.

I’ve followed my boy since his birth, and I better see him take his birthright. He’s arrogant and brash, but the character with the most personality and willing to take risks. He offers a unique dynamic to the aspects that’s much needed. Ysera’s daughter is quiet and softspoken. Kalecgos is awkward and softspoken. Nozdormu is wise and softspoken. Alexstrasza is kind and softspoken. Come on, the aspects need some energy in there. They need the loud and obnoxious funny one who offers different insight and perspective.

Feeling the weight of Azeroth (literally) led Neltharion to resentment, and eventually giving in to the whispers of the Old Gods.

Why not all three as the black dragonflight Aspect, to help share the load?

Not sure if it quite works like that. An aspect acquires a significant boon from Aspect-hood. The original 5 had major differences once they ascended. Kalecgos as well. Ysera still around, so Merithra hasn’t technically ascended to Aspect yet which is why Merithra hasn’t changed in the way Kalecgos did when he ascended.

Visions of Nzoth showed us Wrathion serving the Old Gs

People literally forget that Wrathion is like the sole reason why both WoD and Legion happened, huh?

That’s if they get their original Titan-bestowed powers back – and I don’t think they should.

That’s pretty much the whole purpose of this expansion. Restoring the Oathstones is one step in that direction. It remains to be seen though if that will be accomplished.

Kalecgos was empowered to be the Aspect when it came down between him and another dragon. So the notion of them ‘sharing’ Aspect-hood doesn’t seem plausible.

And there doesn’t seem to be a reason why they shouldn’t. Between the Light and the Void threat, helping those who helped us seems like a reasonable idea.

And he didnt do anything about it, just disappear and let us do all the work.

'Cause that was the whole point.
Garrosh goes to Draenor, he invades Azeroth with iron horde, which was supposed to be stronger than the horde and the alliance then waste the Legion.

And when his plan failed he hid and didnt help agaisnt the Legion. He was hidding waiting for the best or the worst.
The worst thing, his npc fanbase (and some player fanbase) claims that “we needed to fight the Iron Horde to be ready for the Legion, made us stronger”. WHA?!?!?!

If Wrathion was not made the Aspect, I’d stopped sleeping naked.

Anduin has returned to Azeroth according to SI:7, and they both will rule Azeroth as the king of human & dragon together.

I’m kind of hoping Blizzard releases a few more animated shorts specifically focused on the three main Black Dragons. I’m not sure what Wrathion’s would be but I’d like to see what Sabellion was doing during Legion and why he didn’t return to defend Azeroth.
For Ebyssian, I’d like an insight into his early life as, as far as I know, he’s the only dragon to be raised by and grow up with a mortal race.

I distinctly remember him helping us kill the Gronn. At least he’s hands on unlike “Kill daddy for me” Wrathion, who isn’t even related to Neltharion but who was this weird super egg created by fusing 3 or so other eggs to create him with a Titan relic. If the Titans are really as shady as this expansion is trying to lead us to believe, then picking Rheastrasza’s Science Project is probably a very bad idea.

Then again, we ‘are’ the adventurers who sold Kel’thuzad’s Phylactery for coin so…

Wrathion is terrible and boing, people who like to ship him with Anduin and show off their awful canonhead are annoying too

And as we can see with the new patch, Wrathion did nothing while Ebyssian, Sabellian and Emberthal were helping us with everything. And he was the first to fall for the whispers of the cave.

Good job Wrongthion.

This had me going. :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

While I agree, I’m not great with the lore, but I personally like Ebyssian most.

I think Wrathion may end up as the new Arthas of Stratholme.

See! :dracthyr_heart:

That’s blizzs fault actually. They wanted him in Warlords more and he was hiding in Legion as Ebyssian originally. Then they made Ebyssian a separate character and kinda nudged Wrathion to BfA instead

I recall he showed up to Magni first but that was awhile ago so my memory is foggy
