Currently sitting at zero, game RNG is horrible, had the ritual but cleansed it cause it wasn’t any good. Next week chest should hopefully have something useful.
If he pulls the next raid boss, he will explode.

Void Ritual is worth 1500/3000/6500 dps for a Frost Mage, depending on rank.
I find this incredibly hard to believe. “don’t have problems” Hmmm. I mean Mages can blink, twice if talented, but still. This seems like an exaggeration.

I’m at a comfortable 38 on my druid, after cloak (currently maxed) & 1 essence corruption resistance.
For everyone but your healer, who has to cover for you.
I try not to be. I’m prot so the clone doesn’t make that big a dent but I’m mindful of my healers.
Problems are a choice. Maybe he likes being face down until the raid boss while his guild carries him to victory.
Even his main is pretty low parsing, so that is definitely what happens.
My guildmates die from their corruption all the time. I don’t think it’s worth it.
The Thing From Beyond does almost nothing to tanks.
The eye does incredibly high damage when it gets above 12 stacks.
This is what makes 60+ so bad for tanks. It’s not the Thing. It’s the double eye after the thing hits you.
I’ve run above 40, like LFR last night before I upgraded my cloak from 10-12, but I prefer the 35 range. Unless I get a double proc of the Thing it usually isn’t much of a problem.
I don’t want to go over 60 though which I tried on my alt when she got Rank 3 IS bracers, that was rough until I got her cloak upgraded.
I’m trying to be below 40 not because of the thing, but because of the dimension of the eye circle. I want it as small as it can be.
My fury warrior on her trip to unlocking the cloak got some lovely items…

40 is annoying but manageable
60 is where you get dunked on by your own shadow and be miserable

I run between 40-59 for raiding as long as your class can deal with the eyes and thing from beyond easily. Haven’t died once specifically to those during raiding yet (as feral).
If you’re progging Mythic raiding - I would stay under 40.
If you’re in heroic raiding and feel confident being able to handle the add and can rely on your healers - push it to 58; there’s also weak auras/addons that help with the thing from beyond proc.
In vacuum sure. But 2 eyes + thing from beyond + whatever damage you’re already receiving from whatever you’re tanking. Starts to add up.
EV is garbage now. It’s worth like 5 corruption per tier for how little it does now.
No way in hell I would step inside a raid/dungeon with more than 39 corruption. Dealing with a random doom clone is far too annoying, even if the dps boost is huge.
