Can the trainers even be found to do that, I wonder? The phasing may not allow it.
I think you only get access to the profession trainer when you are further along the Gilneas quest chain.
Oh right, that’s true.
It might just not be possible with a worgen unless you get a warlock to summon you out.
if you really want it to be a worgen, then no. You could make another race then race change it but you might not be able to get heritage armour etc.
They hotfixed it by removing the unstuck button
That unsucks.
There will always be a way, somehow, to escape Gilneas as a level 1. As long as Westfall is the default graveyard, the only question is how to kill yourself in a strange way.
There used to be a huge push and interest in finding ways to escape Gilneas, but ever since they made it so that any Worgen outside of Gilneas will automatically learn the ability to change, interest kinda died down.
But I’d bet cash money that there’s still a way to pull it off, even without unstuck.
New expansion: Escape from Gilneas
(This is actually an interesting discussion.)
Atfer doing the first quest and somehow dying, i did get to the point where you’re suppose to get to the silverpine forest.
Turns out, they placed an invisible wall on that path between gilneas and the silverpine forest edge, so… that glitch no longer works now.
There’s still a way out, I’ve done it recently for a bank alt.
So are you gonna share how to do so?
At the risk of it being fixed, I’ll just say that you can use certain toys to get past certain obstacles (much like you can use multi-person mounts to displace yourself)
Ehh, that’s fine. I was trying to look for solutions that doesn’t involved toys.
I don’t think that there is a way to skip the starter quest on the Worgens. My only thought, and this hasn’t been proven, is to get far away as you can, I think you can get out of the area through Silverpine, and try dying in a completely different area. It might take some corpse running to get far enough away.
Other then that, I have no idea how to skip the starter quest. Good luck going quest free!
I know this is a little late but yes their is a way to leave worgen starting area without doing any quests if ya want to know how let me know unless you already found it
yep their is I just did it on my worgen I hate that beginner area ive done it like 15 times
Make your worgen, then don’t play it for 2-3 months.
As soon as you see the character is eligible for a gear boost on the character select screen, you can log in. The game will say “we haven’t seen you in a while, would you like a port to stormwind?” the answer is yes.
I hate starter zones that lock you in. Goblins, Worgen, DHs, DKs, Pandas, etc. should all be able to start in Elwynn/Durotar.
A little late? HA! It’s been over a year! 2 years if you count the forums faulty math!
Why I say faulty math? Funny thing is, even though I posted this thread in April of 2022, the forum seems to think your replay came two years later, at least on my end. I even took a screenshot! Though, I guess it does round up to the closest year, and it’s closer to April of 2024.
But I digress, What I did was created a human, got it to level 10, ventured in to Duskwood to get attacked by a “tainted Worgen” (an NPC that normally changes you in to a worgen temporarily), logged off and purchased a race change. And that was a year ago. I still have the character too, leveled up (58 currently) by killing things and gathering with the occassional random dungeon WITHOUT doing any of the associated dungeon quests.
I remember the old black magic method where you would do a series of glitches until you got to a place where you weren’t supposed to be and then died and ended up in westfall. Good times.
