trying to see when I activated my wow account. i think i started in vanilla, my friend thinks i started tbc so im trying to get exact date. My purchase history only goes to 2014 and I put in a request for the data release from blizzard but says my account was created in 2009 when I switched to battlenet. Seeing if theres any way to find true date. thanks!
there were some early databases, something like an early wowarmory or the like, that potentially captured data on a toon you had in the way back when.
the achievement system started in 2008/2009?
just about anything prior to that is not retrievable to the best of my knowledge.
You could try asking in the Customer Support forum. They might have an idea of whether or not that’s something that can be looked up.
If you still have any of your old characters, Blizz might be able to look up when they were created.
Do you have the Panda, the Zergling & Mini Diablo? That would be the only way I can think of to prove you were there, I cant think of anything else.
Or the Argent Crusader tabbard that has a /use on it
None of that proves a creation date.

If you go here:
And request a copy of your account data, it includes all accounts tied to the battle.net account and their creation dates, along with the first free 30 days you got when you used to buy the base game.
An example of that looks like:
