Has been occurring randomly in my city. Games just spike several thousand latency for hours at a time.
Ive tried changing my dns address and using vpns to tunnel around it to no luck. Wondering if anyone has any other ideas on a work around. Its a long shot its affecting multiple isps in the area not mine alone.
When you tried a VPN did you try locations that were in the opposite direction as where you wanted to go. It may seem counterintuitive but many times when I’m getting connection issues here if I connect in the opposite direction that I’m trying to get sometimes it’ll have a better connection
Issue is I am on an island. The connection off the island was the major choke point… there wasn’t a way around it. Apparently the nod (might be the wrong term) was unpatched and had a bad security vulnerability dating back to 2016.
It “should” be fixed now just a real source of frustration.
