As for 12.2, I think it is too early to make an educated guess on what it is. I know the true ending of 12.1 hints at the Twilights Blade learning the true location of Kith’ix’s corpse and with Ula’tek dead (as this questline takes place after the raid), there is nothing ‘defending’ the C’thraxxi’s body. Therefore it looks like 12.1.5’s raid will involve Kith’ix. And 12.1.5’s raid is designed to be the connective tissue between 12.1 and 12.2. At least according to Ion from the 2026 State of Azeroth video.

If I was to speculate, most likely we find a way to follow Xal’atath to the Worldcore and try and stop whatever scheme she has that involves Azeroths world soul for 12.2.

Through whispers dialog and shenanigans he probly has knowledge of nzoths core way

If you want any “leaks” then icon for the Worldsoul renown faction has already been datamined.

It is possible, but I kind of doubt it. He has to much history and is built up to much. I think he is going to be a more significant character than a .5 boss. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him as the final boss of Midnight.

At the moment it could honestly be Kithix or that datamined ‘void corrupted’ N’zoth model from the 12.0.5 PTR for the 12.1.5 boss or even the end of raid boss for 12.2’s raid. Or it could be someone out of left field.

I am sticking to Kith’ix being the 12.1.5 raid boss however simply because the Twilights Blade seems to be in conflict over which group should resurrect him. One group is still loyal to Xal’atath and want to bring him back in her name. While another group seems like they were duped by Xal’atath and want to bring Kith’ix back for their own personal reasons.

She abandoned us as our blood spilled! Payment for promises left unfulfilled! We must find our prize for our purpose, not hers!

There even seems to be a divide amongst the Xal’atath loyalists. With one group rallying to the Broken Throne (Zul’aman ritual site) while the others are rallying in the ruins of deatholme under the leadership of some necromancer called “Baneshadow”.

Why are we getting internal political drama for a doomsday cult instead of the actual playable factions this expansion?

There were leaks/datamining that told us that 12.2 was basically an underground patch. We’ll be chasing after Xalatath The faction that was leaked was a dwarf/dwarf-adjacent faction and it had an icon that was basically a reused Azerite consumable item

Don’t worry I’m sure we’ll have to suffer another 6 months of MORE Dwarf and Titan related crap before getting involved in an additional 2 years of Dwarf and Titan related crap once TLT releases next year.

Let’s not pretend that the Worldsoul Saga is going to be fondly remembered. :rofl: Gameplay is fine, and art direction, as usual, is good. The writing is WoD-tier, and considering the same people that wrote The War Within and Midnight, also probably wrote The Last Titan, I don’t expect that to change.

The entire franchise is creatively bankrupt and has been for some time now.

Let’s not pretend that WoW’s recent string of expansions haven’t been particularly bad when it comes to constantly pumping out vomit inducing tier sets and terrible looking questing gear.

We had an entire tier in DF where everyone wore large and bulky rocks with overly intrusive LED aftereffects.

Hey! I’m trying to inject the smallest modicum of positivity into this… Well, whatever the hell our beloved game has become. :rofl:

I fully think in a few years, Blizzard’s going to admit that their whole little trilogy exploration attempt didn’t work out as well as they planned. But they will also admit that the “gameplay loop” of Mythic+ addicted retired CoD players kept the numbers somewhat obfuscated.

Yay. Diablo 3 Rifts. In World of Warcraft. What could be moar fun than beating the same dungeon eleventy bajillion times, now with added arbitrary affixes and a time limit.

But what I meant, was yeah, Blizzard’s art quality delivered on exactly the level I expected it to, while somehow every other department fell short. Again. Per usual, with Blizzard.

My pattern recognition senses are tingling.

I highly doubt that he will end up the final boss of midnight just like every single other cthraxi ever wasn’t a final boss of theirs.
His twin, Zakajz, was literally killed in an intro legendary quest back in legion for priests and warriors.

Most Cthraxi are either penultimate bosses, intro quest fodder, end of dungeon bosses, or general quest bosses.

Eruadax - End of Grim Batol
Gzzaj - Brawler’s Guild Fight
Kosumoth - Secret fight
Mythrax - Penultimate boss of Uldir
General Vezax - Penultimate Boss of Ulduar
Uul’gyneth - Highmountain Quest boss
Void-Touched Juggernaut - Random unnamed mob in vault of the Wardens
Warbringer Yenajz - World boss in BFA
Zon’ozz - Not even the third boss of Dragon Soul
His twin, Zakajz - Objective of Arms Warrior and Shadow Priest artifact intros in Legion.

Not a single one of them has been anything higher than a penultimate boss, and that’s only happened twice, in Ulduar and in Uldir. Most of them are world quest fodder.

like it actulyl ADEDD to the history and world buiulding of rocs/draenor and ogres

and even then WoD had like evrythign but veyr start and very very end cut (cause they coudlnt decide what they wanted in expac)
