The convenience is nice but I’m, personally, not to worried about it. I can understand it but for me…it kind of makes it more RP in a way that’s more enjoyable. To travel to the different things in the city.
Engineers can make portable versions cheap
Lol don’t spend all day grinding gold cap with professions if running back and forth for a few seconds is to much for you. Might as well just automate the whole process
Don’t assume
I’m not opposed to there being an anvil next to the engineering table, but there is probably no anvil there because Dragonflight and TWW engineering recipes don’t require anvils.
I have tons of anvils and always have one in my bag. They were all free from Blingtron.
Why couldn’t someone at Blizz thought for not even 20 seconds and realized, one should be there?
Also, for a game that strives to be immersive and make cities and areas feel lived in, it’s a strange thing to leave out.
All I can guess is they probably have the same thought process as any auto manufacturer that buries regularly used features in the UI.
I think dalaran is the first town to have one by engineers no? Mayb e only one?
Because no War Within recipes use an anvil for Engineering.
Just like no Dragonflight recipes did.
The last recipes that used an Anvil were in Shadowlands. And all of the trainers for that xpac were in the same hallway, which had an Anvil.
Not in DF/WW.
For the rare times you need to use an anvil, it means you are crafting old things, so either buy a Thermal Anvil on the AH for literally like 20g, which gets you 20 charges, use the pet Alvin the Anvil (which DOES function as an anvil and is permanently reuseable), or go to the anvil that exists.
As a mecha gnome you become the anvil
Real engineers make their own anvils!
Should I put some on the auction house?
In the good old days, the joy of the game was the INEQUALITY from race to race, class to class and profession to profession. In attempting to rectify that, Blizz is going to end up making us all wear hybrid leather-mail and wielding a 2H and a wand while doing a single collective gathering and crafting profession.
The anvil is being used by a Foregrounds Worker to the left of the doorway. Look or listen to find him.
