It was much worse in Legion it used to be between 0-X%. It took me months complaining about it on the oid forums for them to change it so the base value also scales off mastery.
One of the biggest reasons why Blizzard wonāt be getting my money anymore. They should focus on balancing their damn game over all this e-sport bs that they keep shoving down everyones throats.

They do a poor job of shoving it down our throats then.
Also I donāt think itās hard for them to just keep the tournament client separate from the retail client. Once it starts itās frozen and retail can still get buffs and fixes without harming the thing thatās in progress. What an enormous waste of time.

I was just in a Warsong BG. Itās interesting that Soul Rot (Night Fae) in my rotation tops the percentage.
With Destro my Chaos Boltāwhen it landedādid 8000-11000
I was also running the flag and using Soul Shape to carry it and Alliance won.
But look at these percentages: We owe so much to the Fairy People.

Corruption does so little damage even with the buff from my legendary (it does slow them down alot)

I only play destro, even tried to affliction but itās not for me, i have too much time applied on destro, i have some alts tho but i only do content as main destro.
This expansion was by far the worst for the spec, it hurts to play, its sad, make you angry all the time.
People keep this thing ājust respec or rerollā, dud this isnāt dota that you have to know how to play with like 60 heroes. Itās not a 60 minuts game. The game takes time, you need to invest to understand a lot of stuff, get used to spec abilities. And we know thatās not too hard to give us some buff, we have seen they fixing some other specs before, we are at the bottom because they want to, is this āyou are not metaā thing. Ok, we are not meta, but at least give us viable damage cmon. I donāt mind beeing the last dps but doing decent damge, in order to play the game this days we have to get a ton of gear, io, ratting, etc just to get MAYBE accepted in groups. āHey look this lock 1k io, oh thereās a 850 mage, better get the mage.ā

This just depresses me with how strong and op, night Fae is compared to every other covenantā¦ seeing soul rot top damage is horrible considering how little decimating bolt and Impending Catastrophe do.

Iām sorry dude but every pissed off suggestion youāve had so far is so far off the mark. our mastery was the EXACT same in BFA when we were the second best spec in the game in 8.3 and one of the stronger specs in both EP and BOD. as far as i remember destro got its mastery change back in Legion because we were actually tuned around 0-x% swings in damage, now its half that at most. Destro sucks because they removed GoSup and assumed we loved VOP so much because of the RNG infernals not because it A - dropped infernal to 2 minutes, and B - extended GoSup an extra 10 seconds. yes, the changes were a complete and total hack job (who the f*** says play a fire warlock, wheres the destruction mage??), but so far youve harped on mastery (not really an issue) and APM (really not a thing)? do you have a 60 warlock or is this 58 your only one?

im really confused as to what im lookin at and i dont do many BGs is there some sort of scaling involved im not aware of where CB would only hit for 9 damage?

Because this is Warsong and I was flag running , I wasnāt standing somewhere castiing Chaos bolt. I put Curse of exhaustion and corruption on every nearby enemy when I was running and evading. Casting the rotation the rest of the time.
In different BGs some will allow more Chaos Bolt. Most of them the mission is CC, distract and avoid melee.

you were casting corruption manually as destro with sacro?
Yes, Curse of Exhaustion and Corruption with Sacrolash as much as possibleāit works with Destro too-- and the fire spells. The Sacrolash DOES slow them down. Soul Rot tops the Dots and often I see it at the top overall

gotcha - so corruption doing next to no damage makes sense thenā¦not only was it a 2 second cast you probably(?) didnt get off super oftenā¦you have no modifiers effecting it, tahts like vanilla vanilla corruption compared to affliction corruption which has like 100+% increased damage tied to it via mastery
edit - i know sacro slows them, it just seems really impractical as destroā¦cuz the whole not instant thing
Theyāve made destro a joke in pvp. If you lose to a destro just reroll because literally every other caster can do it better.
Re rolled fire mage not long ago and the amount of insta casts are absolutely insane.
In a BG slowing them down is better than meager damage. Destro also allows me to hit real hard with Chaos Bolt, which hits 7500āor 13500 and sometime more, if I get the chance at a distance. I am going to avoid going mid field and die by 10 enemies jumping on me.
When playing AFF I have also seen Soul Rot be at the top in BGs. A few BGs have a more conducive to Chaos Bolt environment. Either way, rarely can I use two or more consecutive Chaos Bolts.

Lol they get their equivalent to chaos bolts to be instant. Itās also castable whileā¦ casting other spells, and will not interrupt the original spell.
