lul 3 weeks.
I haven't gotten a single loot drop from a relevant world boss since *pandaria*. I just expect it to be gold at this point.
(Note: I skipped the entirety of draenor though)

I am really not understanding this playerbase lately. I suspect the cyclical people need everything right now and guaranteed and that is why there are so many of these types of threads lately.
I admit I am a cyclical person. Today is infact the day my sub expires, unsure of the time. I will be back for the patch that unlocks flying, I'll probably leave at that point until the last patch drops and catch up mechanic my alts.
WoW is nice, but I don't like feeling like I'm running a hamster wheel. I can't justify paying $15 (I know its peanuts) and not want to log in. I don't push progression, and I do not PVP.

If World Bosses were the only way to get gear I would agree with you but it's a loot piñata that requires very little effort.

Yeah if you cannot muster the urge to play there's no reason to pay for it. Things will probably be more enjoyable later. Hope you find something to enjoy between now and then! :)

Trying to be as honest and un-jaded as possible: you really didn't sacrifice that much.
You spent a few minutes traveling, a few minutes fighting (in a fight that probably had no real stakes if you lost) and then got a chance to get some decent raid gear.
You lost that chance, and that sucks, but BfA is kind of packed to the gills in ways you can get better loot. RNG sucks but if you really look at how much "work" you put in: are you really this inconvenienced? Does 20ish minutes of playing a video game for "no rewards" really strike you this deeply?

Reward versus effort. World bosses require little to no effort so the chances for loot are rare. If this bothers you so much that it is causing real stress then you have larger personal issues that need to be addressed
5 world bosses, 5 coins and just gold. It's getting old

While you're in here crying about tagging a world boss, Method was downing Mythic G'huun and 3 people out of 20 got loot after near 200 wipes.
You need to man up.
So we are just going to ignore that the VAST majority of players are nothing like the members of Method?
For some people that's the best shot they have at that kind of iLVL gear. Getting shafted on that especially when you use a Seal to "improve" your odds is horribly demoralizing.
You should not be able to get something as trivial as gold or AP if you decide to use one of the 2 seals you can get a week. Period. That gives you what, 2 guaranteed drops a week? That's hardly game-breaking.
Are you saying back in previous versions of world bosses (VoA and Tol Borad) you always got loot?

Well, realistically it is 21 days of game time, 20 minutes of gameplay and like 1500 gold.
I understand that there is a difference between time spent in game and out of game wait time, but one thing people and blizzard seem to be forgetting is that in a Game entirely[u][/u] based on time spent outside of the game (time-gating) it's worth designing the game around that time. For 21 days of Game Time I think world boss loot drops being a guaranteed item each week isn't to much to ask from blizzard.
They have entire systems that seem to be designed to punish you for spending too much time in game, look at all the people done with WQs and the Rep Grind, Warfronts providing a catch-up mechanic allowing players to bypass a week of running heroics to gear up for mythic or mythic plus, weekly resets on Raid Bosses to name a few.

Three seals are 6000 gold, not 1500.
And that's presuming you only buy 1 per week with gold.
