We did in Legion and others. But it seems lowbies do get to participate, according to an early on test of it. Hopefully that doesn’t change and they get a chance at the heirloom trinket.

Blizzard got extremely mad when people used the Legion event to get alts quickly to max level. Boost sales that went unbought.

Yeah, Otterbox posted the vid that I didn’t know about.

They do, as well as the gear that drops. But from what I’ve seen it’s not as efficient as just questing since the invasions happen all at once and you’ll only get one in and then have to wait for them to pop again.

So? The function is still there. We’re given a significant boost to leveling shortly before a new expansion when players are likely to want to level new toons, alts, etc.

I literally just finished watching Hazel’s video on this before reading this post and honestly… I have to ask why and what made you think this?

theeennnnn… the lowbies would just show up, get a hit in, and just sit back and let everyone else do all the work.

This is false. What actually happened was that a lowbie would get a big mob down to 1% health - which would be worth 2000xp to them - and some high level player would “help” them by killing it, and the lowbie would get 6 xp. I know, it happened to me a lot.

Players did not gate players in any way in Legion invasions.

The big change from Legion invasions is that Blizzard has gated participation by having all take place at the same time, so you can only do one. In Legion we could do one and get ready to go to the next, and the next.

atm with 50% exp its so fast to level. i got level 1-56 in about 5 hours today only doing rdf so there was waits for queue since i was dps as well

If lowbies had fun during leveling, they might take their time rather than rushing to max level to start working on chores.

Nothing indicated that this was a max level event only
But I have no idea if low level players were able to participate in the event or not, but nothing indicates that it wouldn’t be possible to do so
