Another patch, Another failure for Holy priest

We can’t meet the same AoE healing checks in high keys lol. At least I can’t. There is often nothing I can do it’s dependent on the DPS to defensive correctly or I might as well have my staff up my butt.

Effectively, how well I do or do not play in high burst AoE doesn’t matter.

That difference disappears for any disc priest willing to stat in mastery. Disc scaling on Mastery means that Flash Heal on anyone with Atonement while specced for Disc for me at the moment will heal for 660k. That’s within 120k of my Holy Word Serenity in the exact same gear. And this is before the buff tomorrow. One of these is spammable, the other has a 1minute cooldown.

Now, my mastery example is extreme, but mastery for disc is a flat multiplier on damage-> healing conversion. Yes, you can make the argument “why would I stat to increase healing when I can just deal more damage to heal”, and my answer for that is for those moments when you actually need to heal.

I’m gonna add that they need to undo the mastery % nerf for Holy when they reworked the duration from 6 seconds to 4 seconds and the tick rate from 3 seconds to 2 seconds.

Yeah, I completely said f it to mythics this week and told my guild they better gear me in raid cause lololol I am not subjecting myself to keys with Holy the way it is. I have better and more enjoyable things to do. Like organize my sock drawer.

Or play literally any other game.

Yea Holy is fantastic in Raid but it feels so lackluster in M+. I run 10s and 11s on my monk all day but even trying to run mid keys as Holy priest feels like a flash heal spam fest and that just doesn’t feel right at all. The kit needs tuned.
