The terrain issue isn’t a deadzone issue. It’s about height. Short races can have some problems. Gnomes can get dismounted by puddles, for example.
Deadzone is just the distance where you’re too far to melee but to close to shoot. All hunters have it. It’s just a little further away for Tauren, since they have a longer melee range.
