Anyone that thinks gold sellers are making less money on anni servers than they did on any other version of wow in the past is living in a fantasy land.

Gdkp gold sellers make up like 1% of the wow gold sellers. The other 99% are bots that have been making SIGNIFICANTLY more money on anni serves with gdkp’s banned than they ever have on any past version of the game.

Its definitely not as easy for them to sell their gold without them, more risk on the player also.
With gdkp’s a few whales buy absurd amounts of gold and real players get some of it through gdkp cuts. They use that gold for future gdkp purchases, consumes, etc.
Without gdkp’s those players that relied on the whales are now buying the gold to buy consumes, boe gear, boost alts, etc.
More people buying gold makes it easier to sell.

Yes. Which is why so many are buying gold. Grind gold for 10 hours for 1k or spend $10. Until the buy gold option includes a real risk that you might get a long ban, more players will buy the gold. But blizz decided to do nothing new with bots or RMT and just ban gdkp’s instead. Now you’re playing on the wow server that has the most RMT and bots but you’re happy because gdkp’s were banned.
It shows how little moderation we have on the classic forums that this guy has been spamming a link to a gold seller discord for 24 hours without a suspension!
We have plenty of moderation. Just try discussing GDKP in any way, shape, or form in any new thread. Or be critical of the existing loot systems in any way. Deleted within a few hours. Banned if you don’t succumb to the cringe overlords. Wear it as a badge of honor.
Here’s an example of a thread they nuked then hid from everyone which at the time was the largest / most viewed gdkp thread on the forums they’ve done this twice to me.
They then said use other gdkp threads but instead of nuking the smaller threads and keeping the largest they took out the largest to make it seem like not many people were actually discussing / wanting gdkps.
Yeah, they take all the comments from dozens of unique threads and dump them into a single mega thread (with an entirely different topic), literally making it an incomprehensible dumping ground that they can sweep under the rug. Cringe behavior.

Again, a reason they are banned. Being paid in rmt is not a reward and causes people that don’t attend to be pushed out of economies, forcing people to join.

This topic is by far the most prominent and spoken about on the forums it has the highest amount of views and comments of any other threads on the forums.
Players from both sides wanting to play the game there way both standing there pointing fingers at each other and not being able to enjoy the game.
This topic isn’t something that is going to fade away if blizzard havent realized by now its only going to continue until players can once again participate in gdkp’s.
This is a core part of the game to have the freedom to spend gold how they wish and in almost every other version of wow there isn’t anything stopping them doing exactly that it makes no sense to force this kinda of outdated failed experiement on players.
Regardless of what side you are on everyone agrees that the core issues here are bots and rmt and everyone wants blizzard to do more to stop this happening in the game they love unfortunately the gdkp ban was not the solution and it is obvious by now that it has done absolutely nothing except punish legitimate players and cause others to quit the game.
I call on blizzard to reverse this gdkp ban or provide servers that allow them and servers that do not to cater for both groups of players and how they wish to play the game.
Your failed experiment in sod phase 2 is over and now its time for a new experiment which is to give us the choice to play how we want and see which is more popular because everyone knows the majority want gdkps.
We need this for Phase 6 and into TBC please listen to player feedback and take steps to fix this as soon as possible ignore the anti gdkp players give them a server they can sit on alone while the rest of us enjoy the game.
