Just watch the servers over the course of the next few weeks/months leading into AQ/Naxx. It’s gonne be raid loggers after people finish their r14 grind and can’t blame anyone for it. There’s simply nothing for me or a lot of people to do at this point except get WBs, log in, and clear MC/BWL/Ony in under 2 hours and wait till next week.
This will be my last post in relation to this subject. Found SoD, having a lot more fun over there. Far from perfect but gonna try and experience it while it lasts. Hope I’m wrong to be honest and that you all continue to have the fun you claim to be having in classic anni right now. I’m out of things to do and playing alts feels painful, I’ll just leave it at that. As I stated above I think many things outside of GDKP could fix the current state of the game, just nothing was done to fill the void it left for many of us.
Show us the data then lol, we also have access to public data. Our player base is nearly 8x lower than it was in 2019. You wanna talk numbers, don’t just throw around the word “data” like it means something without the actual data.
We want flexibility and we want to be able to pug. The lack of gdkps has led to a lack of general pugging and a drastic decline of the quality in said pugs.
I appreciate the actual suggestions tho unlike so many on here just attacking people with no real arguments. Unfortunately most people can’t dedicate specific evening times and allocate 3-4 hours clearing every raid 3-4 times a week. My guild has 5 guild runs, I can only dedicate a weekly time to 1. It would be nice if there was a pug culture that I could do MC or BWL from LFG chat and not have everythign HR’d for our alts.
Its less about the actual GDKPs and more about the terrible pug culture that currently exists.
I mean, they banned the most popular loot lystem before even releasing anniversary so it’s hard to say. It certainly has something to do with the ban, but banning GDKPs is only a part of a larger problem with the current state of classic.
We’ve fractured our player base into so many forms of the game, and banning gdkp’s was just a further fracturing of the player base. I actually think no GDKPs this time around was a great experiment, just a failed one with the way it’s been implemented and played out.
We also have the data but we won’t show you because after our investigation we deemed it a success despite losing over 300,000 players in sod alone directly after the ban.

forum accounts should be linked to bnet, not characters that you can just switch to whenever you feel like. there is a bit of lack of integrity due to that.
Absolutely. It shouldn’t have anything to do with your in-game character, which is utterly irrelevant. Just a simple account forum avatar. One per account.
On the other hand it’s really funny watching the swipers constantly swap posting characters trying to create an appearance there’s more pro-gdkp posters than actually exists.
And by the way, the next two posts after yours were pro-gdkp each made by 0 post characters. . Liking each other’s posts. Probably the same person. Again…hysterical.
The problem is that unless you’re a “carry/buyer”, you aren’t getting into a GDKP with a lower gear score.
99.9% of the GDKP leaders will require you to flash a minimum amount of gold in order to even join as a “carry”.
This creates a snake eating its tail.
How do I get into a GDKP to earn gold to buy gear to get more powerful if I cannot join the GDKP to earn gold to buy gear because my gear score isn’t high enough? This is part and parcel to why people HATED GDKP. It’s great for people who swipe their credit cards. It’s not great for literally everyone else.
Most popular doesn’t = best. You are describing a reason gdkps were banned. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
If you support gdkps, you support rmt. If you don’t, you miss out on rmt gold and fall behind. Gdkps taking over a server just shows how cancerous they are.
