I’ve been doing the “clear the map of anima once a day” routine for some time now, on one character at a time, taking turns as I get what I want. All my characters’ covenants are at level one of everything except my Night Fae who just hit upgrade 5 on the conservatory and will buy the transmog tomorrow. That character will go a month without the 500 per week and I’ll miss it, but her goals are met.
I have played the “effortconomics game” for anima for some time now, and while this fix is a net positive for those that have upgraded sanctums, if you really care purely about income for cosmetics, the smart money is to get level 1 in everything and get to the soul cap and stay there. Chasing this new achievement bonus to its 3rd rank is not worth it unless you enjoy the things you get from unlocking your covenant further, in which case, please enjoy!
For me, anima is for transmog. My mains are druids and don’t need the teleportation, the mission table is a constant anima drip that also won’t pay for itself for a long time if fully upgraded, and going beyond conductor level 1 is just for impatience or very specific mounts really. I went deep on the conservatory because I wanted the transmog, that’s worth it to me. These bonuses on their own are not worth the chase as presented, but they’re a nice little perk. I will not be chasing them as I will be going deep altoholic as soon as flight hits, but that’s just me.

Biggest brain play is to leave the grinding till 9.3, when Blizzard “listens to the community”, moves on to the next xpac, and skyrockets rewards because patch 10.0 is the focus.

thats unfortunate, you still get more anima for raiding or m+ than causuals were getting though so please let us be happy
Yes, but
is not something either of us is prepared to do
And you are correct about the funny thing. Its hilarious!

My apologies - I guess that casual players who never, ever step into a raid, M+, or PvP at all benefit from this as well.
It’s their ploy all the time.
(We know the Maw is meh so we’ll stick sockets and torghast powers there… we know Torghast may becoming boring so lets stick soul ash there… we see sanctum upgrades aren’t getting much interaction so lets stick that anima upgrade in there)
They are clearly going for the ‘grind grind grind’ for QoL everywhere that it’s becoming nauseating.

biggest brain play look people enjoy a change
Apparently this does not count previously-purchased Covenant upgrades?
Because I had Rank 2-3 in all my Night Fae buildings, recently swapped to Necrolord and received zero achievements.
Given than other Renown-based bonuses (like PvP ilevel, WQ ilevel, etc.) is cross-Covenant, this seems like a rather major oversight?
i dont raid or do dungeons hardly ever and i was still support excited at this increase because of all the cosmetics i still want to get
Probably not an oversight. They want you put time into covenants. I bet if you swap back to NF you’ll get the achievement.
I’m going to criticize something I don’t like every time it’s forced down our throats. Sorry not sorry.

Instead of simply increasing anima drops all around, increasing it overall based on our renown level, or lowering the obnoxious prices… Your solution is forcing us to continue grinding and spend even more anima on parts of our covenant we may not even want or use just to get a small increase that isn’t even account wide?
This is a joke.
I never planned to increase things like my mission table past rank 1. Now the only way to access this QoL update (which is too small of an increase) is to spend what little anima I have.
As usual there is always a catch and it’s always added way too late.

Still to low WQ should give 2k anima this torture of a currency is not worth anyones time

Exactly. They clearly have settled on a method to keep you ‘‘busy’’ while engaging with their core systems to keep #'s up and have little faith (rightfully so) in the content they do so they need to hook the player. Cheap method to keep the player engaging.

I am also encountering this issue.
Way too little still too late. Feels like crap

dont you think you are exaggerating a bit
Not just that, but it costs 63,100 anima!

The anima increases should be based on your total number of Sanctum features upgrades.
Also, this should be an account wide achievement.
