Lmao 2 months into an expansion and there’s this much crying that you can’t get every reward already.
Again you’ve completely missed the point of this entire thread.
Prophetheus is lamenting the slow anima grind and how it’s killing the spirits of its players, and some players are leaving.
Do you even have a point to make, or are you just trying to post something witty and insightful and failing miserably?
Again, did you even read the original post or did you just create your own strawman from the get-go? I don’t want all the content. I want to be able to even try out the content that has been released. In past expansions we would be nearing the end of this patch within the next half a month and most people aren’t even touching half the content that was with release because it’s locked behind a currency.
Anima needs a boost
Also it needs to go directly to my sanctum reserves instead of cluttering my bags
Your precious transmogs and covenant upgrades are not going to GO AWAY with 9.1. You literally have all expansion to get them.
And is there proof that Blizzard will be adding more upgrades to farm for or are you just speculating?
Just ignore this guy, folks. I don’t think he’d get the point even if you poked him with a very sharp pointy stick.
Again, if you READ THE ORIGINAL POST you would know that’s not all I’m talking about. I’m only just now getting to the enjoyable part of my Queens Conservatory and I had no idea it would be good until I did the obnoxious grind to unlock it. People are literally reaching their “I’m quitting until more content is released” points without even knowing that there is enjoyable content still in the game because it’s locked behind a tedious and pointless currency grind. This isn’t an “I want to unlock all the cosmetics immediately” situation, this is a “I want to enjoy the gameplay loop they designed for me to enjoy” situation.
And again, you’re falling back on your “this patch content will be doable in a later patch” as if each patch isn’t going to come with more armor sets.
are you playing with a bunch of alt at the same time? everyone I saw complaining about lack of anime is either doing that or just don’t actually have enough time to play the game.
I’m just curious btw because my experience is total 180º from yours, I have all the upgrades I can manage I have some of the cosmetic/mount from the vendor and my anima sits at 33k right now, and I’m not doing doing high end content or anything to actually farm anima
I tried having one alt just for M+ but when I realized how far behind I had fallen, I went back to just my main. I play a fair amount. You’ve upgraded everything in your covenant sanctum without farming? How is that even possible.
What, you don’t like only getting 35 anima at a time?
I mean, it’s not my favorite thing in the world.
I basically do WQ when possible + the weekly quests, I’m not even pushing M+ or raid in my main, the only other thing I can think of is that I dont heal my guys in the adventure table because thats a steal
If you’re not doing anything to farm anima, there’s no way you can have 33K anima. It does not grow on trees… you have to do quests for it, or get 35 anima per raid boss.
I farm anima every single day on my main, and I’ve unlocked the third tier of the transport network, 2 tiers of the anima conductor, one level of the mission tables and the first level of the queen’s conservatory. I’ve also bought myself the one staff skin that goes along with my transmog and upgraded a few items of my covenant armor. And that’s by going out of my way to do all the anima world quests, the weekly world bosses and both dungeon quests.
So, come on, who are we kidding here?
I said I wasnt doing high end content, I do wq and weekly quests that’s it more or less
Then you’re doing all the world quests that offer anima.
And that, in fact, is the very DEFINITION of “farming anima,” as opposed to what you first posted.
The anima grind is killing the game for me. I hate it. Everything costs too much and you get far too little unless you want to spend all damn day on it.
To upgrade the sanctum AND be sitting on 33k anima, that would be 104,000 anima. Weekly quests net you 2,000 to 2,500 Anima a week. Doing that every week since release would only give you 20,000 to 25,000. Meaning you got about 80,000 from “casual” world quests. That’s 761 world quests if each of them gave a generous 105 anima per.
So I don’t believe you. You would have had to do 10 of the best anima granting world quests every day since release. That’s farming.
I’ve already walked away from this. They drip feed us the anima then make everything cost a ton. Yeah, no. Just no.
I have definitely noticed this as well. This is probably one of the biggest reasons I unsubbed and am on the edge of reactivating and just cancelling to play month-to-month. I am WAY, WAY, WAY, behind on all anima lol. It does prevent me from doing a lot of stuff as well.
I will add, a lot of players do get disheartened quickly when everything starts out as essentially “trash” loot for an extended period of time. Like, I didn’t really see anything until after a month into the expansion, which was a reason for unsubbing so far this expansion - just not satisfied with the loot system.
Now on the flip side, I have done a couple things and got over a little hump in the content that now has exposed me to the “right” loot I should have gotten closer to the start. I understand “working” or “building” things up to earn rewards but maybe a little quicker instead of the current pace.
Maybe cut anima costs in half for everything?
And I will add I just don’t have time to play 40 hours or more a week to get everything from raiding, all the mythic dungeons, etc.
That’s what I’m saying. It wouldn’t be so bad if the anima was used for strictly cosmetic things but one of the mainstays of the expansion is the covenant special area (Queens Conservatory) which take insane amounts of anima just to start the full gameplay loop.
