Anduin's Fate

Actually Turalyon is super popular with the house of lords, and holds backing from them. He is seen as a legendary /human/ hero, a champion of the Church, and most importantly… he is nobility himself.

He checks a lot of books for human nobles.

Technically, I don’t think that Anduin abdicated. He just left Turalyon acting as Regent.

correct, I fixed that myself in my OP. It was a quasi abdication to get him out of the picture until they need him again, and change control of the alliance to a non-pacifist.

Hopefully we now actually see some other human characters with game of thrones like intrigue though I doubt these writers can actually pay it off.

Within one patch they are all either corrupted or have tentacles for a face.

I’m sure they also love that he probably hates the peasants too

Ok but even if that’s true (where’s it from?) he’s not a Stormwind noble. He’s from Lordaeron. The king disappearing into another dimension and giving the throne to a foreigner should be a pretty big deal and should get nobles and peasants alike talking. But Blizzard likes to completely ignore the politics of the setting so this will probably go completely unaddressed, I guess because it isn’t “epic” enough. Can’t make a raid out of political intrigue, and raids are the only thing they care about.

Well that, and because they can’t be bothered to write Stormwind and humans as anything other than generic good guy fantasy kingdom #234235. I mean has there been anything relevant about the House of Nobles since Vanilla? Sadly the same could be said of the Dwarven Senate.

They have the time now to abort any non-sense and if the “Rock Star” culture isn’t still running rampant then people would naturally be worried over new ownership.

There was news articles over Kodick meeting with employees over the uncertainty of what the sale will mean. He, of course, has a golden parachute.

Also my personal interpretation of the cut scene where Pelagos asks if anyone objects to Tyrande being the one to judge Sylvanas is that Anduin was about to object, but decided not to when Jaina glared at him.

Oh please, we have been faction warring since forever. Saying Cata is the start of the faction war is incorrect, especially considering Wrath would probably a bigger start of said faction war. Hell, we siege Undercity even back then!

What? No. Don’t. Please tell me you’re joking.

I genuinely like Anduin and I feel bad for the kid. He’s been through a lot, and by dint of his age, he has pretty much never had a chance to sort it.

I like Anduin as a character, but I’m a lot less fond of Anduin as a shoehorned in morality pet and narrative black hole who bends all plot to being about him and how it makes him feel (see also: Sylvanas). Hopefully the break does both of them some good, and he gets to eat some space-afterlife-mangos on a beach with some Stewards around Maw shenanigans.

I hope the only food to sustain him is Maw rats.

Who knows. Maybe Maw rats are delicious.

I hope they are like the Elden Ring rats.

somehow I imagine they explode if you try to eat them.

Let me try wording it a different way.

Maybe not doing an X-pac like Cata or BFA where the main thing the Devs do is destroy things like a toddler throwing a tantrum so it won’t equal a drop in subscribers that the new ownership might not tolerate.

Does this get the point across?

Siege of Undercity is after an internal coup, not faction war

It still ends with us trading blows with the other faction and basically any hope of a united from against the Lich King ending. If not for Jaina freezing everyone everyone would have been killing everyone then and there.

Lmao
