Kill Wrathion then >_> Poor Anduin’s already had a trauma conga line. Or else pair him up with one of the inevitable ‘previously unknown uncorrupted’ black dragon lady that’s going to pop up. He does need to start rebuilding his flight if there’s going to ‘be’ a black dragonflight going forward.

Stories don’t have to be realistic, or healthy, or emotionally well-adjusted or good examples for real world behavior, they just need to be interesting.

long answer, the king has too have a queen too make a child, that child is an heir, you can’t put a random kid you got from an orphanage into a throne.
you’d just be a adopted son/daughter of a king/queen, if they were related too said king/queen they’d have ties too the throne.
even then, they’d just put another royal up on the throne if he doesnt have a son/daughter.
so in a way, you’re likely too see an opera casted by murlocs than you are too see Wrathion marrying Anduin.

And I see you didn’t get mine. Anduin/Wrathion is a thing people like because people liked their dynamic, both positive and negatively and that is partially because most characters in WoW don’t actually spent time together to develop/just hang out as oppose to trying to kill the next big bad.
It’s a lot more than just Anduin and Wrathion, but it’s a trend. It would be different if we didn’t have media like Call Me By Your Name (just to throw in some actual, legitimate media in there for this line of thought.)
It’s just kind of exhausting seeing the same dynamic for same gender ships pushed to the top of the attention list every time. Makes me kind of 
Is that part of the games lore? I never read anywhere that kings can only come from offspring. I think it would be a breath of fresh air to see something different instead of the typical offspring to king story that gets reused all the time. It’s just boring at this point to get a sameish story and outcome
