I’ve been a big reader and into stories since I was a kid, and I’ve learned that most people look at a story at only a surface level and take what is given to them as fact. I’ve learned to pull back a bit, and start to think “What is the writer intending to convey” or “why would they write X, when it feels like they want to convey Y? Did point B box them into a corner somewhere?” Funny enough, if you start to write any sort of fanfiction yourself, you start to see these sort of things as you start to plot out and construct your own narrative. Write now, and I’m considering doing it anyway, I could write out a massive bullet point list of why I feel Goblin and Gnome Paladins not only make sense, but it is the pinnacle of illogical thinking based on this universe of why they don’t. The writers would absolutely hate the speech I would write, but it would also box them in using all their own lore, and they would have to twist and destroy their own lore further to keep it from happening. It’ll probably piss off some players as well, so weighing in whether it’s worth getting flagged over. But it’ll all be emotional hate, because they would have zero logical counters to any of it… and it would demonstrate how silly the story is becoming.
In reality the only leaders that were loyal to her was Gallywix and the Mag’har leader
All the others were hesitant and even the Mag’har one regretted siding with her after her betrayal and abandonment of the Horde
Tyrande: Hey Anduin we know there’s an entire war going on across the sea but we should totally focus on taking a strip of land back that isn’t remotely close to azerite or the current war
Anduin: I literally cannot spend forces to do that yet
Tyrande: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Seriously hush Tyrande
Well, I don’t 100% disagree with that statement it wasn’t your original message at all.
You kept inferring that most people will bow out of fear. So I argued that there would be about an equal force that would not.
Dying for nothing is dumb yes. But those little shows are not for nothing if you can turn them into a message of inspiration for those that CAN do something. If we all just rolled over and accepted whatever fate just so happens to fall into our lap we would still be a British colony in the US and most of the world would be speaking German or Japanese.
The atrocities happened but they were also stopped. So be realistic with me and stop fooling yourself into believing you cannot do something to prevent, stop, or even reverse them. I’m a strong believer that good is always more powerful than evil. Even if it takes a while good will always win in the end. So keep fighting!
A sidenote, and not taking sides, but humans are incredibly hierarchical animals. We love waiving our personal responsibility and following The Leader™ in whatever they set out to do. Authority is an inherent and indescribably powerful force in the human psyche and it is not something to discount.
The Milgram Experiments have certainly demonstrated this.
Exactly what I’m referencing. Bravo, Bipzi
I am with ya
Yeah I am aware and agree. I don’t discount it. That is why I try to stay away from absolutes when I discuss this topic. There will always be some that follow the leader. Look at modern US politics. Lol. That being said though there are always individuals willing to step up and put a stop to it when it goes too far. It’s never 100% on either side and that is why we have 10000+ years of warfare. It is tragic.
Director: CUT! That’s a wrap people!
Aunduin and Tyrande go get a some cookies and coffee at craft service while about how they talk wish the writing would improve. Genn brings them both some donuts and tells them he’s going to have “words” with his agent.

The fun part is understanding WHY the Milgram Experiments where carried out, and how all of it’s findings where outright ignored as they started to execute people. At the end of the day, I feel like people allow their emotions to control them far to much, and that emotional outbursts and emotional rule has lead to some of the worst tragedies in human history as we deny to ourselves our very nature.
Heck the human brain can make you sick just thinking REALLY hard that you have something.
The brain is fascinating and terrifying
We love thinking that humans have surpassed their animal nature.
We have not.
Human nature is disregarded as people think themselves “enlightened” when they’ve really just fallen into other psych traps.
Good ol’ mind over matter! It is partially why the placebo effect is real. ![]()
Yes. Most people will. It’s the norm. The majority of people dont participate in civil wars or other conflicts.
Yeah, all that feel-good rhetoric is really useful when you’re lying in a puddle of your own viscera. Or watching unspeakable acts being performed on the people you love.
And no. The world wouldn’t be speaking German or Japanese. The national socialist regime of Germany had no interest in world-domination, and neither did the Japanese. Regional, maybe, but not world domination. I understand your dislike of them, but keep in mind that they’re still humans. Not sunday-morning cartoon villains.
No. There is precious little you can do to stop alot of atrocities. You’re barely in control of your own life as it is. What you can do however, is try and stop the source of those atrocities. But you have to be smart about doing so.
Good and Evil are relative terms. What matters is, who believes in their side more and has the means to carry out that will.
Eeyup. It can be helpful in certain situations.
TWD…but will you shoot him in the head like Carol did to that girl?
Which is why I had mine remove decades ago. It’s in a little jar on a bookcase.

And at the end of the day, the people that think this way, are probably the most dangerous of them all.
No, he’s in a moonwell. He’s there to have his head trimmed.
