Anduin being meant to show non-toxic masculinity is hollow

Yeah, we totally saw their interactions and her getting into the new life after what happened in Gilneas.

Genn was willing to risk his life to save both Mia and Tess of them. I doubt he is the kind of person who would ignore his daughter/make her feel less important then his adopted son. In fact in Elegy it seems Genn doesn’t even know where Tess has been running off to.

There is what is shown, and there is interpretation. We can interpret the story however as long as it at least loosely fits the events.

At the same time we see Genn around Anduin, and Tess is sort of there. Which is a questionable thing to me, but people are different, so maybe some see such approach where instead of teaching a new generation to lead the nation, etc., he just sticks around Anduin, as a good story.

It sure is not my cup of tea, but I won’t pretend that my perspective is objective at anything other than how poorly their interactions are written in the game.

People are still thinking that Toxic masculinity exists.

Jesus save us from this torment.

This makes 0 sense. The story makes the character. With that said: No Anduin is not a fine character.

I mean, it does.
Making fun of single parent dads, or stay at home dads, or a man crying, making fun of you if you don’t want to serve in some random war. Certain expectations from society only towards men. Or Jordan Peterson nonsense.

I love all my children: Anduin, Liam, and *checks paw hand * Teresa

True, it’s so weird how most of the time Teresa is not really a thing and mostly ignored.

I think Blizzard has a weird commitment to certain parental tropes:

  • Absent or Lost Father - Garrosh, Jaina, Kaelthas, Darion, Anduin, Thrall, Garrosh, Taelia
  • Absent or Lost Mother - Jaina (until late BFA), Thrall (until Shadowlands), Anduin, The Fact We Don’t Have The Name Of The Mother For Most Characters In General Or The Name Of Major Lore Figure Wives Like Anduin Lothar
  • Adopted Child - Thrall to Garrosh, Genn to Anduin, Tyrande to Shandris, Cyrus to Taelia, etc

Meanwhile actual kids don’t get much development (Voljins son being the most wild, as you’d think he’d have been the de facto dark spear leader)

Yeah so it doesnt exist.

Its just random bullcrap that you unnecessarily give an umbrella name.

I will tell you a secret.

That’s what names are for. They name things.
Nothing random either, it’s rather specific and is often hurting men.

An unnecessary name is a garbage name.

Humans are driven by values.

That aside. the things you listed doesnt exist. unless the person in question is weak or young enough. Then again Experience in life brings you forward in life. So getting told one thing is a valuable lesson either way.

So Jordan Peterson isn’t real? I knew it!

Serrious though.

What’s that for a drivel? What lesson should I learn in some radom war? There is nothing of value at all in your take and such a view. It makes life only more misserable and harder for everyone. This nonsense is also often feeding into suizide of men.
I am way to old that I would still listen
too such nonsense.

I am just saying we shouldnt protect people from words.

Or try to be a decent person. I am really not sensitive at all.
Perhaps you don’t understand how much damage this really does. There is a lot more too it than “bad word’s”.
I rest my case here, wrong forum for that. I couldn’t simply ignore it though.

Its better for people to learn from the mistake of doing what others tell you to do than for them to never experience it.

Shandris/Tyrande was becoming a popular ship and that’s a big reason someone at Bliz decided they should be written that way after Cata since it was the homophobia expansion somehow

Shandris is Tyrandes adoptet daugter …

Something which was only ever stated in Cata because it was a popular ship before that and Knaak can only write lesbians as villains apparently

Shandris was never ever a villain and I hate Knack.
His novels are likely among the worst for the Night Elves.
However, this happened some years before Cata.
