Just wondering. Gonna be going with a Zandalari warrior here and the fierceness of Kimbul seems rather fitting. Adding another bleed to their mix seems nice.

I imagine people will just go what ever sims best, Akunda for healers, Krag’wa for tanks.
And either Kimbul or Paku for dps, with maybe the odd instance of Gonk being beneficial for the movespeed utility.

Based on expected results Kimbul will be the best, those procs usually are unless severely under-tuned. Some niche specs that love Crit might take Paku instead.

Personally though I think Bwonsamedi will be really nice for general world content. Offer a bit of survivability along with some damage, that’s always nice. And Gonk for running old content.

Eh. Part of me hopes some folks use the racial for RP/flavor reasons, rather than purely sim reasons.

Yes, Warcraft players have traditionally favored roleplay and lore reasons for character choices and avoid citing side imbalance based on racial passives.

I’m glad that the blizzard forums have evolved to the point that civil discussion about the game’s fluff reasoning behind racial abilities can happen.

Well I’m not foolish to believe that there aren’t those who will pick a choice purely because it yields more raw numbers. But I think the choice is cool and interesting enough that I still hope some will pick for RP/flavor reasons. It’s why my warrior is choosing Kimbul, even if it doesn’t “sim better”.

On a less snarky sarcastic note, yes. I’m glad they have choices. I’m honestly considering gonk because of both its ridiculous name and the potential for speed farming with the way blizzard math stacks sometimes.

Gonk would be a genuinely good choice for most people because movement is valuable in just about every setting. Should be about personal preferences for the most part. I can see an argument for a Zandalari healer choosing Gonk, Bwonsamdi or Krag’wa over being pigeonholed into Akunda.
