My favorite is stone oven pizza with bolognese sauce instead of tomato, covered with tuna fish, onion, garlic and of course mozzarella.
I think they tie for heart attack inducing levels of salt.
Hard pass.
Well, I don’t want to polarize this deep and meaningful discussion but - I make my own pizza at home and I have been known to make a special trip to the shops to get a can or two of anchovies to put on my pizza, along with crumbled fetta because, y’know, salt, you can’t have too much of it.
Well you can, so doctors tell me but hell…the palate is in charge when it comes to pizza…
But salt tastes so good sometimes I’ll be missing the forums my account expires in 19 hours. Unsure if I’ll sub for another month of forums or not. I may if there is nothing better to do.
True, but I’ve had bacon that was so salty it was almost impossible to eat.
You might be able to post without a sub, I know my dead accounts still can, if not then you’ll be missed.
/hugs
I use to eat anchovy pizza til my doctor said my blood pressure was too high ,love it and so did my 15 kitties too.
Nah, They usually only let me get one post before I go inactive. It’s fine though.
As someone who spent time making pizzas once in my life time…
I’m going to have to go with… no.
Just the SMELL of those things was terrible. I took a small bite of one once just to know, and they were the grossest fish I’d ever tasted, and I LOVE seafood.
Pineapple pizza beats anchovies by a MILE.
How dare u.
Yeah, they do smell after awhile the worst I ever smelled was kimuch with anchovies if you warmed it up in the microwave you’ll never get the smell out.
I ate Anchovies and I liked them… I also like Pineapple Pizza(provided it be dehydrated by sitting in a display warmer for some time). They are equal!
I had to wear gloves just to keep the smell off of ME. I couldn’t imagine putting it in my microwave. I’d probably have to throw it out after that.
Both are good, imo.
Speaking of anchovies, remember that episode of Friends where Rachel orders pizza? Classic.
i like to tell the story of when i online ordered an Anchovy topping on my freebie pizza via Papa points, the local Papa John’s called me back to verify that i really wanted anchovies (this was 2011 in Sierra Vista)
Oh you shouldn’t have used that now i’m going to do just that with my bro,
I don’t really like anchovy’s but it’s 100000% better than pineapple on pizza.
My mom used to work at a pizza shop when she was a teen. They had to lie ALL THE TIME about not having anchovies to customers just because nobody wanted to deal with opening the can and taking them out.
I like anchovies in a Caesar dressing, but I’m not sure I’d like them on a pizza. It seems like something I should try at least once, though.
