Yea Anathema needs more players, devs can you please look at merging servers. I can’t help but hold this launch against blizzard, because instead of making more balanced servers from the start - massive servers were created and faction balancing was not taken into consideration. I server transferred here back in October, thinking more people would move around and it would balance out, but it hasn’t.
Give us some type of option to make this game more enjoyable, server merging would offer that.
well the people that are there are all lotus bots transferring resources off to mega servers so I would’t expect there to be much chat or low level resources.
This is just not true in any form whatsoever. There is a small, dedicated player base here on Arcanite Reaper. We are NOT all bots and farmers.
I took a free transfer here when the queues on Fairbanks got out of hand, thinking more would do the same.
Some did for awhile. But for some unknown reason (to me at least), several large Horde guilds all transferred off within a week of each other. Now there are really only 2 Horde raiding guilds left on Arcanite Reaper, but I’ll lay in the bed I made for myself.
It is 100 % true in every form imaginable. two guilds do not make a server. Is LFG and trade completely and totally dead? Yes! Is the economy and Auction house totally and completely dead, making it nearly impossible to find anything you need unless you go out and get it yourself? Again yep. Correct me where I was wrong there, I’ll wait.
Arcanite reaper isn’t dead, it’s non existent outside of the 2 guilds you mentioned which is a horrible reflection of server health. Blizzard has the data for how inactive the server is, people will never pay to transfer there. Blizzard can easily step in and offer free transfers from high pop realms.
No one is going to take a transfer from a server that has had their gates open to AQ for 3+ lockouts, to a server that isnt even close to opening them.
Unlocking and layering the megaservers and reopening transfers to them during the AQ gate event only rang the final death knell for these dead servers.
The only thing that would have alleviated this situation was having more name reservation servers from the jump. blizzard ignored the warnings and drug their feet on adding more.
very few people will choose to transfer to a dead server to escape queues. they will sooner quit entirely.
They wouldve been better to cut off servers sooner instead of letting them get so over populated
Also a lot of our players are xfers that came over due to over population. So while some would quit, some would xfer too. This would solve both problems of overpopulation and low pops
Its phase 5 now. That ship has sailed. A server with under 100 active players in a two week period isnt going to be revived by xfers, free or otherwise. To pretend otherwise is just fooling yourself.
Facemelter, I wasn’t responding to your post, but the one above mine, Aahki. I tried quoting them, but “system” removed the quote for some reason. I got a notification about it. /shrug
I’m just hoping that for TBC they learn and have smaller realm populations and no layers ever, even on launch.
All servers should be copied to TBC servers with the same name. Everyone gets a free transfer prior to launch (on the TBC server only). Blizz states (and sticks with) that no layering will be done at any time.
I dunno why you skipped the first half of my comment. Would you want to do the war effort contributions a second time and miss weeks of AQ because Blizz decided, against all logic, to delayer your server and open transfers? Arugal had queues with two layers in the ten hour war. There’s no way this made any sense.
Even better i think, would be, depending on server size, just consider the classic realms dead and done for bc. Offer players on each mega realm 2-3 brand new destination realms to choose from when they copy their character to tbc. The end result is basically a forced server split without all the baggage that comes with transferring.
