An Update on Shadowlands

Great job Blizz! I rather have a full complete expansion than a buggy one! We know you guys can put out great stuff but with the quarantine and at home pressure we totally understand! We want blizz for the fun and quality you put out!

Tough call but probably the right one.

99.99999% of the whiners here wouldn’t be able to create a game 0.00001% as close to Shadowlands.

Can’t wait for pre patch and I’ll be sticking around until release.

Great work!

Yes! Please take all the time you need! Get our classes in a good place before Go Live and I guarantee it will pay off in spades! I would start with hunters

Well played Blizzard! Definitely the right decision

Honestly, such a good idea, sorry to those who took off work for the release

Thank you Blizzard, both for updating us on the prepatch date and for making sure that Shadowlands is focused on quality in these difficult and trying times. I’d rather wait a bit longer than play a buggy and unfinished game for the next 2 years. It must have been a difficult decision, but the right one, please stay in high spirits and keep up the the hard work. Stay safe everyone and Godspeed.

the feedback they are acting on are beta testers. if you are not in the beta atm it is not in a great state. I will take a delayed release of a good game over a rushed release of a bad one ANY DAY OF THE WEEK

This was disappointing but not unexpected. I certainly think this could have been announced a few weeks ago, since I think it would have been obvious internally whether you could meet the set launch date with the stability needed 2-3 weeks ago. I’m sure many people are more angry that Blizzard waited until 3-4 weeks before launch before admitting that SL was delayed rather than the fact that it was delayed at all.

I feel for the people who took off for the launch that can’t get back their time off at this point.

I probs couldn’t build a house either but doesn’t mean I cant expect a good product from the construction industry.

Heck yah. Delay this as long as you need.

Don’t you dare listen to Activision on when to launch.
Don’t listen to your shareholders.
Don’t even listen to players pushing you to release as soon as possible.

You are Blizzard. You release your games when you know damn well it’s good to go.

And when is that? Soon™. Hold to that. It’s why we know you’ll give us good games.

I hope this also means we’re getting something for the Nightborne since they didn’t get anything new for character customization. Not even the eyes color option! How about giving us the NPC’s faces, ears, eyebrows, and jewelry options. As well as some new skin colors, hairstyles, eye colors and brighter tattoos.

Also, consider adding first and last names for our character’s name. It’ll open up more creative names for rp’s and able others to use first names that’s taken in this current version. Plus, why should only the NPCs get last names?

And for the love of lords, PLEASE give the male Pandaren tails options and female orcs fang options too.

Honestly I was more upset that it seemed the prepatch was being cut short. I’m cool with the delay. Make it the best xpac we can get. Do it right the first time so we dont need ninja patches to fix it later.

Please see about a nice Tuesday November 3rd release, maybe servers up c. 3pm Pacific.

I never said its doomsday and while you’re okay with it, it does not mean all are. If you read, many took time off for the launch, not just me and we’re stuck taking time during a dead part of the game. No one said they had to provide a hard launch date but they did, thus Blizzard has to deal with the issues you caused. While those that find this an issue worth requesting a refund might be a minority, it does not take away from the very real problem caused by such short notice/change.
Time off is not easy to come back and while you may think it absurd that someone would time time off, that does not give you the right to judge how they feel or react to this news. This game serves many people not just you and news to you, I’m not alone if you read many post.

Good call Blizzard. Better to delay the launch than to delay fixes for the 1st or 2nd patch.

Very happy to hear this Blizz - take all the time you need :kissing_heart:

I hate my life.
