An actual world? Not really.
The early parts of FF14 world are full of invisible walls. There are less in the latest FF14 zones, but they’re there. Nothing more frustrating to jump to nearby place and be denied. Even when flying these walls exist. Crossing from one zone to the next is restricted to specific doorways as well. Much less like a world than many other games, including wow.
Also FF14 has the worse systems for inventory, interacting with the auction house and transmogging I’ve come across in an mmo.
