Legion Remix seemed like the perfect time to bring back the mage tower with the old skins and new skins available for everyone. Like it kind of baffles me that mage tower, such an iconic part of legion, was completely forgotten about.

So… The best forms are unobtainable?
From a new player’s point of view, I can confidently say that’s discouraging. They will see the best Druid form, look it up, and find out they can never get it. The message quickly becomes, “You’ll never look your best, because that’s reserved for players that played a decade ago.”
I’m not against limited-time rewards, but at this point, the game just doesn’t offer enough variety for this to be acceptable, and even if there are limited-time forms they shouldn’t be so much better than what’s currently available.
If these skins are locked to a specific expansion from nearly 10 years ago(lol) then maybe we need to be dropping more of these (literally better than what’s available) limited time skins a little more often?

They are so much better because the task to obtain them wasn’t easy… hence the reward of a form better looking than the average bear form.

I’ve never understood the obsession with exclusive items, as someone who owns a lot of them. The only thing I care about is that it’s equally as challenging to obtain, rather than being thrown in the Trading Post or something–which I’ve never really seen anyone ask for. 
Not a fan of the majority of those appearances myself, but some of them definitely capture a theme that’s pretty hard to replicate with other items.
I don’t actually remember, but I can guess Blizz made a huge deal about them being a one-time thing back when the MT was current content. I suppose they don’t want to deal with the backlash if they go back on that–though I genuinely don’t think it would last more than a few weeks at best.

I got asked several times where I got it from depending on color I used and most of the time the reply was a sad smiley face. It’s not really cool but they could give us a Fel Cat with a fel trail to make up for the new player loss just how they gave them a fel bear

The fel bear was because no one would see the armor like the other classes got for new mage tower. You can look up the blue posts for it. But that’s too hard to be factual, right?
People can get Fel Bear now. But they don’t. It’s too hard.
Somehow the rewards for gameplay they didn’t want to do are now the key to their happiness.
People need therapy. WoW, Pokemon, Lububu……
You aren’t owed everything for free.

That could be part of it, but a fel-themed druid form is bound to be way less popular regardless. It doesn’t fit the aesthetic of druid at all. Heck, I’m willing to bet the vast majority of people getting the Remix mounts are only doing it for completion’s sake.

If people mass unsubbed over this, blizzard would bend. I bet my paycheck on that. People need to learn to vote with their wallets, but their gaming addiction gets in the way.

No. Absolutely not for current druid players who missed out on Legion retail.
This isn’t some card game to win a mount for it to appear on the trading post decades later. The grind was real for so many players to earn their druid forms, weapon appearances and mounts let alone the slog of quests, mandatory raiding and whatever else to progress.
It would be a loud stinging slap across the face for players that literally treated Legion retail like a second job, and it felt like one.
You made the choice 10 years ago. Either way by not playing WoW at the time or mained another class.
I didn’t play Legion retail because I was burnt out from playing WoW, and to also mention I was pregnant and starting a new family. Even I support Blizz not bringing back exclusive time limited appearances specifically from Legion retail. Once they’re gone, its gone.
I personally know players who played Legion back in the day. To say again, the grind was real yet you want to just have it.

I’m a bit confused by this assertion that people are asking for the form to be automatically added to the barber, or obtained through some other trivial method. From the OP:
The appearances could be reintroduced in a new updated challenge or have recolored versions inspired by the originals.
I don’t particularly care about the Tower appearances, myself—but it doesn’t seem people are just begging for a handout here, by and large. I usually see some suggestion of compromise.

maybe, just maybe, they want to partake in the fantasy of being a furbolg DRUID not a furbolg DEMON. I was so baffled the time that Blizzard “compromised” adding a Fel Bear, the antithesis of a Druid.

Nah, most people seem to have the WB one already if they’re interested in the werebear. I’ve run into a few druids farming it now and again.
People will tackle really difficult content outside of their comfort zone to farm cosmetics in every MMO I’ve ever played, including WoW.
Yeah, most people will want to stay true to their class fantasy or at least won’t feel overly enthused about a form that’s totally at odds with everything else in their kit.
