An Ode to Moon Guard: The Living Soul of Azeroth’s Eternal Hearth by Jade Ann Byrne irL Ocotober 10th of 2024
Oh, Moon Guard, where my spirit found its home,
In the Lion’s Pride Inn, where whispers roam.
From Goldshire’s glow to Stormwind’s gates,
A realm where stories weave, and destiny waits.
A cultural nexus, a vibrant tide,
Where the bold walk free, and the curious hide.
From lookie-loos to lovers who play,
You draw us in, night and day.
In a world of tech giants and high-rises grand,
Boardrooms where ideas shift like sand,
I’ve seen the billions spent on sterile dreams,
But none hold the spark of your living streams.
For Moon Guard, you are an untouched art,
A living, breathing, chaotic heart.
A petri dish where souls collide,
Lovers and haters, side by side.
And here, we flourish, we bleed silver bright,
Twitch pulses purple, but we are the light.
Rouge stealth, sixth-wave, beyond all the rest,
True progress is letting creativity manifest.
I’ve sat in suits, in cities high,
Consulted on platforms where millions vie,
Yet none compare; organic pixelated grace,
Where players find their truest face.
It’s here we embrace both sin and grace,
In Goldshire’s halls, a sacred space.
To the untrained eye, it’s temptation’s lure,
But for those who see, it’s a path to the pure.
It’s not about winning, or fame, or score,
It’s about finding the human electric spark once more.
Peeping Toms, trolls, and admirers alike,
Anonymity brings truth to light.
For in the realm where characters bloom,
People shed flesh masks worn since womb.
Here, no contempt for those who rise,
Success shared through open eyes.
We lift each other, we make it known,
No one stands alone in this welcoming meta-home.
Roleplay lovers, haters, all in one,
A dance of identity under Azeroth’s sun.
And yes, the raids can take you far and wide,
Cross-server battles where heroes reside.
But Moon Guard, you are something rare,
A sanctuary where hearts lay bare.
From the lowliest peon to the noblest knight,
We forge stories that burn so bright.
In this haven where pixels meet soul,
A digital world that makes us whole.
You’re the freedom in an endless scroll,
The spirit that makes the internet whole.
For every discarded attempt to find the way,
For every throwaway, there’s a chance to stay.
It’s not sin—it’s self-discovery’s grace,
It’s impulse understood, a sacred space.
It’s becoming more human, with every line,
A server where hearts and tales intertwine.
So, here’s to Moon Guard, since day one,
A place where the brave, the broken, the bold run.
Where a community thrives, untouched, unchained,
And the stories and love are never feigned.
Here’s to the beauty of a world unseen,
Where souls explore what it means to dream.
I bleed silver, and my heart beats strong—
For Moon Guard, you’ve been my home all along.
