Unless I read myself wrong, I dont think I suggested anywhere that any of this idea is obligatory. Its an old WQ for old world stuff; you do it if you want to. Otherwise you can feel free to ignore it, as most do now.
OK, thats fair. But perhaps just make old legendaries buyable with gold instead? Since the ones for artifacts are less in number it would work to just live them live.
And I had another thought; many of us are still after the chests from the Legion factions; if these quests offered decent rep as well as useful benefits, that would make working on those chests a lot more fun.
why donāt you just buy your herbs with gold? There never was a large amount of profession world quests anyway, donāt see any reason to make more of them now.
Yeah, why not do away with professions altogether and just put all the materials on the vedor? That would certainly make things a lot easierā¦
Some of us still enjoy working on professions, some of us even make a bit of gold out of it. It was merely an idea to put something useful into an area of content that is mostly untouched now. Plenty of other things could be provided as a reward.
I love the idea of putting crafting materials on world quests as a reward. Makes them more common as well which can help with supply issues on smaller servers as well. I know a lot of people who end up needing to farm their own herbs and such to level their professions simply because they donāt exist on their servers Auction Houses in the supply they need.
Bored I finally took an alt stuck in noob intro 10 levels to bfa when done.
I evenā¦did the horde scenario. Of my own free will. Ahhā¦there is the faction hate. Slitting the throats of so many alliance guards on prison break. Burning up SW. It was a fun time. thisā¦is faction hate. then the rest of the story happened up to now lolā¦
BFA will get me Bwonsamdi. I may die on purpose just to get his graveyard lines once or twice.
I like BFA alt gear up. liked it even in BFA.
Log inā¦see the WQ rewards. get new armour peice if good. orā¦donāt. SL made me appreciate that more.
Kill 6 raresā¦never knowing what you will get.
climb a treeā¦never knowing.
1 hour laterā¦you got nothing. BFA you knew you had nothing 2 seconds into log in. It had that.
Inb4 renown 80. even those wq rewardsā¦suck. My alts are 80, I see this. daily.
did legion like 2/3 time recentlyā¦need some variety.
Transmog? I know they share appearances, but it might be an easy way to get them? Iām not sure.
I keep getting a slew of these from raids that I canāt use. QQ
Also: I want the PvP WQs back with Marks of Honor rewards, please!
They all have a secondary way to get the appearance, but like I said, I donāt know if this is an easier way or not. They could just swap those old legendaries to gold cost.
Thereās different types of collectors, a person who collects appearances is sometimes referred to as a āUniqueā collector, once they have the appearance for an item they considered it collected But thereās another type of collector, my people We collect source IDs which means we have to loot/buy/craft every single item Note my picture above, at the bottom of the tooltip it says Source ID and has the checkmark. Now look at this image
You see it says not collected at the top right and at the bottom by sourceID it has the X but thereās two items with the check, that means I have the appearance but I havenāt looted that specific drop so for me itās not collected.
I for one would not mind them being changed to gold
Thereās precedent for it too, you know the Cata Valor/JP vendor in Org? Their items are for gold now, though it could be argued that itās because JP/Valor was removed and thatās a fair argument.
There is no reason to remove any world quests. The rewards change randomly. The table used can be modified without removing a single quest.
People who want legendaries should be able to buy them with gold at the vendor.
Just in general they should stop giving useless old currencies or disabled items as ārewardsā for doing old content.
Like this item:
You get it in an Argussian Reach paragon box. During Legion it was only usable by sub max level players. Very rarely while farming the character would get a token for a little artifact power, but basically not enough to make it worth using. Later, after artifact power was removed, the item gave tokens that vended for a little gold.
Now? The item gives absolutely nothing. But they are still giving it as a reward in paragon boxes.
I donāt know what the point to changing the loot table would be. Remove the essences to put gold as a reward and then make people buy legendaries with gold instead of essences?
There is plenty of order hall resource quests for the people who still use those. And I am doubtful they would put profession mats as a reward to be honest because again that would just create another problem - those would be useless for a bunch of people.
I really donāt see the point because everyone needs different things and those quests change enough that everyone can get what they want right now.
The legendaries are basically useless at this point. They arenāt even the best gear in Legion. Thereās no reason the vendor couldnāt sell them for gold, for people who want them.
As I said earlier, materials would be a good alternative to gold. Sure, you can sell mats for gold but sometimes alts can use them on their professions levelling. And some of the WQs already give gold, so even if they went the gold route, they can always reduce the amount.
If a player is doing WQs to work on the Legion faction reps (and presumably many of those would already have the artifacts they want) then getting a bit of mats or gold would help make the work more valuable. I dont really see that as a negative.
not everyone has a use for profession mats - you want to replace something that isnāt of use to you with something that is but you would create the same problem for others in the process. I donāt see that as a good solution to anything.
it doesnāt take much to farm herbs in legion now, I am really mystified why you think blizzard would change this in a many that would give you enough. Not to mention inscription is just about the only profession for whom legion mats would be still of much use.
