An analogy for those who don't get it

So this wasn’t telling me to write a better one? Interesting.

Encouragement is hardly a directive.

I find it sad that you can’t tell the difference…

If you’re incapable of making a better analogy, that’s your shortcoming.

You’ve yet to tell me how would you improve my analogy.

I’m always receptive to constructive criticism/feedback, after all.

Wait why does my game have to be directly relatable to a job. I don’t want another one of those.

One is enough!

The best part are the semi passive aggressive comments hidden in the extra space of the posts. Like somehow being snippy nearly invisibly will escape the notice of the mods. The dead space is a clear giveaway.

Well, considering most people speak about WoW like it is a job…

Words of encouragement and positivity?

I’m sorry you feel that way!

A bad analogy. The content was not released yet, and everything, especially things related to PTR content, is subject to change or clarification. Do the minimal effort to run normal, or don’t.

And then the boss stuck it to the door for all to see with zero changes.

Try to keep up.

So is it your shortcoming for not writing one to begin with? The point still remains, you want me to write a better analogy. Whether or not I give you a better analogy has no bearing on yours being garbage.

Right…

If they truly were that, you would not be hiding them in ways most people prolly don’t even notice. Generally one does not feel the need to hide positive comments, but eh, perhaps you’re the exception.

Need an additional thread.

This. I am not understanding why so many people are so upset the requirements were changed PRIOR to launch. Sorry, (most definitely,) not sorry, you have to put a little bit of effort into attaining a mount. I am also confused why majority of players are upset about having to run normals when the only keystones on avg are well above the ilvl that is req for fated raids. (Indicating the majority of the communiny is over geared/sufficiently geared.) That being said, (Taking a hsot in the dark,) the benefit to failing over and over that is present in LFR would make the experience toxic on its own. You don’t think majority of groups are gonna wanna stack that buff for failing? (You don’t think that maybe, some mythic and lots of heroic guilds wouldn’t do the same thing? They would.) What about selling runs? (Boosters,) with the ability to stack the buff you can now bring even lower geared players, (possibly for a high premium,) along for a the train ride.

Being overly upset, (not to be confused with disappointed, which is allowed. There is a difference.) is a form of self entitlement, especially when you try to disgustingly reference toxicity as a requirement for forming raid pugs. (If anything its far more prominent in LFR. Ever have DPS, tank pull before everyone loads in, arrives or even buffs? Because their time is precious? Think of the time lost when they wipe. (At 2%.)) If you strictly experience toxic groups there is a common factor present that you may not be aware of. You should def identify it, (since I am not in your groups, I can say that you are 100% a common factor.) Mayhaps your attitude, (anyone arguing this,) is the core issue? Believe it or not, being polite, understanding and compromising leads to fair more enjoyable game play across the board.) There is a plethora of ways out there to find and join a non toxic normal group. (LFG has leaders post in advance for recruitment, discords, forums, trade, guilds, etc.) Don’t be angry that you have to put (a little) effort into obtaining a reward. This is also the only new content we will get prior to 10.0. We need something to do until Decembers launch of Dragon Flight.

Surely there are many free to play mmos out there where you could open your wallet for the best rewards isn’t there? I’d argue that’s far easier than even doing LFR. Maybe give them a shot folks!

I’m sorry you feel that way and regret that you lack the ability to write a better analogy.

It can be tough to be a content creator, as people will come from all directions to denigrate you. When you invite them to do a better job, they’ll refuse.

Maybe they fear rejection?

I see that you’ve created seven topics, total. Seven.

My words hit closer to the mark than I realized.

I just noticed that the biggest part of analogy is anal. Y’all think a better word would be Buttology? I’m still scratchin’ my head over that one.

I hearted your reply to me to help you make it through the day.

Again, the burden isn’t on me to write one. I didn’t say I could, and I didn’t say I could’t. I wouldn’t exactly call you a “content creator” because you aren’t even an “analogy creator”. If you go to a restaurant and the food is bad, it’s the cooks fault. Whether or not you can cook better doesn’t matter. Bad food is bad. Bad analogy is also bad.

And what does the amount of threads I create have to do with anything? What about other characters I may post on, do those count? Your logic is deeply flawed.

Not quite. Failing with a guild on Discord and having someone tell you over voice or whisper you saying something not so nice is something why a lot of people do LFR, if you fail you fail, someone is being mean you put them on mute and ignore it, eventually you get the kill no matter what.

With a raid, even with normal raiding I have seen guilds fail miserably, over and over and never get a kill they are after, some even failing on the first boss when they are well over geared for the raid.

Normal raiding not only has a requirement to show up on time on a schedule, but there is no failsafe, if you cannot kill the boss get more gear, if you cannot get more gear get more knowledge, if you have read all the guides than get better, that’s it, that’s your failsafe, play better.

There is no guarantee that you will kill any bosses in normal or higher raiding no matter what, with LFR you end up with some super geared players showing up for this or that and carrying the team, I should know, I go into LFR over geared all the time for mount and transmog stuff.
