Amirdrassil has left the Dream

Well Org was attacked too and rebuilt. They did that to update them.

Unphased, they still cannot enter the city— even after all of the questlines.

It’s another, “We did this to make it all better! (but only in story, not really in game)”

Amirdrassil isn’t much different.

From my understanding, the Dream is always also a reflection of our world (Without the Sundering) with multiple layers (so there may also be a layer with the sundering) — Thus has all the world trees in the Dream too.

So upon that note, there should still be an Amirdrassil in the Dream (The Dream of our original Amirdrassil - If you will) — However the more core-physical one has been brought forth to Azeroth … At least that’s what the lore would indicate, if I recall correctly.

Stormwind or rather it’s people joined the Alliance of Lorderon. They were one of 7 cities/kingdoms that joined it. The Alliance of today is a direct descendant of the first Alliance. Giving the member states a claim on Lorderon. Of course, it doesn’t matter. As Sylvanas killed the other party and all other witnesses to said verbal contract are either dead or undead.

sylvanas has come back to finish what she started peoples. BURN THEM TREES!

Having a handful of people from Lordaeron does not make the current Alliance the rightful owners of Lordaeron when the people that lived there are still living there, just undead.

Stormwind was destroyed prior to the start of WoW. Historic stuff, y’know. Not a matter of ingame upgrading.

And so was Silvermoon. Crap happens in war. We usually get new stuff out of it. Silvermoon will be attacked again in Midnight by the void. And the layouts of the cities are quite different from the RTS games.

They will get it back, Blizzard will wheel it out and be like. BAM new sewers for yall to live in. Unlive? What is the proper word for it when it’s undead living somewhere?

If you say so, Oh Powerful Precognitive One. :sunglasses:

They already announced this at Blizzcon…

I hope so, with updated graphics. But also part of me thinks they’ll leave it as is too.

Guaranteed to be at least prettied up a little eventually. There’s a TON of modern models they could simply color and palette swap on.

Maybe, they have been updating stuff in the files, but I haven’t seen anything Forsaken related other than the tabards that they already got.

I have little faith, considering the Nelfs are now relegated to an expansion specific story that no one will ever go back to. Thus, will not get a city and I doubt the Forsaken will either.

I recall that he said that the Void forces would attack the Sunwell, which is in Quel’Danas. That isn’t Silvermoon. Unless it was said somewhere else that I didn’t hear.

The Emerald Dream was functioning as a “womb” to shelter the World Tree. Once the World Tree matured enough, it “birthed” in the “prime material plane” of Azeroth.

Quel’thalas. He said Quel’thalas. And Quel’danas is a part of Silvermoon. It’s just not in the city. It’ll likely replace the Scourge attack that goes from the Ghostlands to Quel’danas.

Well if we’re gonna go by lore on this.
The “old” alliance were not all killed off.
While things got rough after the third war it’s still largely the same Alliance, just with new branding.

Some members left, some were destroyed and some left then later joined but they did eventually regroup under the Wyrnn family of Stormwind along with some entirely new members.

Lets do a proper count of fallen (major) cities:

The original members consist of the 7 human kingdoms:
Stormwind, Lordaeron, Stromgarde, Kul’Tiras, Gil’neas and Dalaran. This group was called the “Heart of the Alliance”.

4 non human nations: Quel’Thalas, Wildhammer, Ironforge and Gnomeregan.
And a few other major groups like the Silverhand.

Lordaeron was destroyed, despite its current inhabitants being those who lived there before death it doesn’t change the fact it was lost while an Alliance member. Once the Forsaken freed themself they actually tried to rejoin but the remaining nations weren’t having it.

Stratholme was also destroyed, at the time the second largest city of the kingdom of Lordaeron, destroyed while part of the Alliance.

Stormwind was completely destroyed in the First War by the Old Horde. It was of course rebuilt but it was still destroyed, still counts.

Dalaran was destroyed while the Kirin’Tor were Alliance members, the survivors rebuilt but they left and remained isolated.

Quel’thalas, Stromgarde and Gnomeregan nations all first left the Alliance then had their cities fall, so they don’t count.

  • The gnomes only rejoined after losing their city to the Troggs, taking refuge in Ironforge.
  • Stromgarde also eventually rejoined and it’s capital rebuilt in BfA during the warfront.
  • Quel’thalas tried to rejoin the Alliance following the Third War but were snubbed and so turned to the Horde.

Gil’neas also left for isolation then later rejoined asking for help only after the Forsaken had basically won the city. They didn’t formally rejoin until after the city was lost and Genn was licking his wounds in Stormwind. Doesn’t count.

Alterac betrayed the Alliance and were kicked out (and invaded), Alterac City fell from the retaliation of the remaining human nations, mostly notably from Lordaeron. This one doesn’t count either.

Kul’Tiras left after Daelin was killed by the Orcs, they wanted vengeance but the rest of the Alliance nations refused to help them. They remained isolated thereafter until BfA when they rejoined but no (major) cities were lost while members.

Wildhammers never left the Alliance and they really only have one city named Aerie Peak which still stands. They’ve also never really done anything, at all, of any importance until Cataclysm. They had a brief appearance in Outlands before that.

So from the OG team that’s 4. Dalaran, Stormwind, Lordaeron, Stratholme.

Now from the new members:

Theramore was originally a Kul Tiran city but following their departure Theramore separated and became an independent nation of the same name under Jaina and remained within the Alliance. That’s 5.

The night elves joined after they lost their immortality following the Third War, the many, many fallen cities prior to that don’t count and since joining they’ve only lost Darnassus which makes the total 6.

Org was attacked (by both Horde and Alliance) but never destroyed. Though Jaina did almost destroy it, by herself using the focusing iris, following Theramores destruction. She was only talked out of it by Thrall and Kalecgos.
