PS:
I feel like Amazon did New World gamers real dirty.

They released a new xpac, let content creators increase hype for it, all the talk about its return, wait for a few weeks of sales and hit them with this message.

While Amazon has the audacity to say that you can keep purchasing the game even though thereā€™s never going to be any content updates.

While not accepting returns.

I myself never played the game, but I do feel like Amazon did those players dirty.

Is it the apocalypse, no. Is it a horrible sign for the genre, definitely.

Hopefully the new lotr game will be good. At least I think they are still making itā€¦once again. It keeps changing, ha. Although the original lotro is amazing, just dated.

I liked it had buy orders. I know this most and best from eve. When ever someone says how would improve wowā€¦.

I say copy eveā€™s buy order option. I just drop the buy order for 500 mcgiffins, it removes whatever the 500 total cost is from my gold.

and it fills up over time. Donā€™t like my buy priceā€¦donā€™t sell me your crap. how that worked.

I thought it was kind of cool tbh.

It felt pretty immersive how you could rock climb.

Definitely not. Given that it was designed as a PvP sandbox MMO and as we all know, MMORPG PvP is a niche pillar that so few engage with.

Been playing it in the last 2 weeks, I have over 900 hours in that game (with most of them from launch) and for the price that I paid for it with them giving out their last expansion it definitely was worth my time and money so Iā€™m a bit sad to see it sunset as yes that is pretty much death, they will maintain the game up to 2026 but after that who knows.

Would be great to see someone buy it as it always had great potential and has so many peak designs. Their gathering is top notch, their sound design and voice over are top notch, you can actually play instruments like guitar hero and they give buffs, etc. It had so many bugs and etc. that made it much worse but I had a good time.

I wouldnā€™t hold your breathā€¦that was being made by Amazon as well. And according to their statement, they are significantly reducing their work on 1st party AAA games, especially MMOs.
