Possibly.
I didn’t play TBC for various reasons. The folks I played Classic with, some left after vanilla, some went to BC and either later quit or transferred server, many are gone from my FL. I don’t like playing catch-up so it was either skip wrath all together or play fresh. Got a couple RL friends coming back as well. I’ve already found a new guild, old friends, I’m very happy to have this offered.
That’s ridiculous, get a guild/have friends, you can play just fine. Been here since OG BC and never bought gold.
I give it a fat zero. He’s gonna need to sharpen his skills.
WoTLK will die quickly just like TBC
Blizzard aren’t very smart with marketing or innovating, they literally can’t innovate anymore… which is why they have all their diverse hires pushing left wing politics into their style fantasy games
It’s already dead for the Oceanic region, they cut us out of it & are too cowardly to even say it. If I was a shareholder, I’d be outraged by the incompetence and disrespect they’ve shown to a whole region.
It’s a nice fresh start. The rush to level, a new economy… it’s a pretty good place for new and returning players who maybe didn’t play TBC (or WoW Classic).
In my case, I’m pretty excited about it, but we have had an active community for the past couple of months and have a roster with 5 raid teams. Of course we’ll see if we have some attrition during the leveling process, and some new members joining as we reach max-level, but…
I think with a strong guild community, you’re going to have a good time, regardless of what ends up happening.
Heck, some of the servers from WoW Classic that were well populated the whole time ended up dying or becoming lop-sided a few months into TBC Classic, so you never really know!
What I don’t understand is why does it matter to you? You are obviously not going to play on the fresh servers so why do you care if they are successful or not?
Well the release is basically already butchered with this exp buff crap so lvl 10, 20, 30 will Fly by for those playing pretty hardcore…dungeon loot will most likely be what everyone gets though most will out level the dungeons before they know whats hit em.
I made a new toon recently on tbc just to see how fast it was - didnt take long at all to get to 20
(found out they removed lots of the elites from the world which really Irked me)
Out leveling zones, quests, like theres no tomorrow - its sickening - not far off from ppl afk boosting in dungeons.
Reminds me why i like og classic above the rest of em - the journey is slower and little harder.
End game is pretty boring, experience it once or twice and move on. Dont really see the point in doing the same thing at the end over and over just to get some shiny pieces of gear for what? To look cool? Arent you already beating the hardest content to get the best gear to do what exactly, the only thing there would be use for that gear is end game pvp, which is only fun for so long.
Some people like to start on the same level as everyone else around them.
They will have plenty of time to level up before people that are WAY ahead of them are even allowed to transfer in AND they will be surrounded by plenty of other people doing the same thing.
you become visibly stronger and each week the reclear is easier. the feeling of power gained brings happiness.
you prepare yourself for the next tier, to the best of your ability. To stay on top and keep being a top of the top. Power and the money. money and the power. Minute after minute. Hour after hour.
I don’t know. My original server blew up and my guild fell apart. I have no ties to this new server I find myself on and to be honest, I can get a fresh char to the same level and gear that my old character has in about 2 weeks. I honestly don’t mind the level grind.
And now with this fresh server, with most of the boosting and bot gold farming nerfed I feel it has the best chance of being the only stable economy with balanced populations
i dont get the hype around fresh. im perfectly fine leveling all my alls on a progression service for this xpac. However, I do think there is no harm offering a product people want. If people want fresh and its only for 3 months anyways. let them go ham.
