They also have no eyes, so they’d be flying blind. Probably run into things. It’s a safety hazard to let them fly

Their wings are not functional… graphically. Because they where lazy and only took the base Nightelf/Bloodelf model and added some more stuff.

I love mine, still in the running for first to cap in TWW. Been my main thru DF and only my OG druid is really a contender.

I love their look and flying around as myself is awesome.

I love my dracthyr form. I’m so glad we have wings instead of being a draconid instead.

My only complain would be to disconnect visage and dracthyr transmog so I could use whatever shoulders/tabard/belt I want on visage without worrying about it clashing with dracthyr armor.

I love my dragon. My only complain with the race are issues that thankfully are being corrected allready; The limited Soar we started with instead of the fully functional Soar we have now. And the class not having a tank spec for the whole expansion.

The excuse that no one class fitted for the race at start is complete bs because its already stablished that not every Dracthyr was Evoker and Warrior is an universal concept for a soldier like character and there are lore proof that melee Polearm and heavy armor wearing Dracthyrs existed so there was absolutely no reason why they couldn’t have atleast warrior available to them earlier to make happy tank mains who wanted to be Dracthyrs.

But hey, atleast that’s being fixed too soon with the class expansion. The only thing that I hope they don’t take away now is gliding. Because of the discussions about it being too op if other classes gained access to gliding. It would be incredibly immersion breaking dying of fall damage on a race that has huge wings

I mean if thatd be too OP for all classes, then they could move it to evoker only.

Yeah, Gliding by itself isn’t particularly powerful at all. I doubt that’ll factor into non-Evoker racials.

Wing Buffet and Tail Sweep aren’t insane by themselves as 1.5min cooldowns. Together they might be considered that by Blizzard, but then again the two Dwarves and Night Elves exist, which have much more universally broken interactions with content.

Since the CD reduction and secondary benefits to Sweep and Buffet are on Evoker’s class tree, I’d say it’s likely that non-Evokers just have the base version of those together. Those are really its only combat racials to speak of.

Yeah i honestly don’t think either that with the long cd and CC DR mobs have they would really be op. If they still want to take them from non evoker thyrs tho, atleast replace them for something else to keep the dragon race immersion but that isn’t op.

If it were me maybe for something like this:

  • A toned down version of Fire Breath, Deep breath Or both, but with a longer CD and damage so that it works like a racial nuke similarly to Lightforged draenei orbital strike

  • A single use, non floating version of hover with a speed buff. Like Worgens Dark flight.

Just examples. Wouldn’t be the first time a race gets toned down versions of another class skills as racials (Nelf shadowmeld, Earthren’s azerithe breath)

I like the forms. Both dragon and visage. I do feel the dracthyr form could do with some more colors.

Love Drac’thyr, I only wish I had more customization options to make mine look bulkier.

I really wish they woulda dared even more and went with the updated drakonids, choose between Body Type 1 (two legged big bulky ones) and Body Type 2 (four legged “caster” types).

Bulkier and completely separate mogs from Visage/Dracthyr form. Those would check some boxes for me. :smiley:

I just want them to actually add more armor choices for us in the customize area. i feel what we have is all will get.

I love Dracthyr honestly. I’m glad we have an actual Dragonkin race in WoW and I’m honestly glad they’re more aerodynamic and not super bulky. We have that with a lot of races already. The visages are cool, but I’d still enjoy them even without them. For me personally Blizzard nailed it with the lore for them and the Evoker lore. My plan is for it to be my main for the foreseeable future.
