Yet, this has been the case for ALL of my alts if they don’t unlock Nazjatar. I don’t remember when it started, but it’s been consistent for a while now.

Maybe in the future I’ll come back to this thread with a cup of coffee and try to crack this mystery. But for now it appears I have no way to the chamber?

The game does frequently make it difficult to do questlines because it doesn’t always provide information about what you need to do. I remember trying to figure out how to get Pathfinder in Legion because you needed certain achievements and nowhere in the game did it tell you how to get certain parts of it. You had to go out and research outside the game to figure out things like killing a set of NPCs etc. It is often not very intuitive.
And coming back to 8.3 without having done the earlier parts at the time of release, there is a bit of fiddling around involved trying to figure out where you need to take up certain quests. So good luck on getting to the right spot in the storyline, it is indeed occasionally a total pest.
PS: You do need to do a relatively short questline to get down in Nazjatar and do a bit of questing there - you just keep doing that until Magni shows up and he will send you off to Silithus.

Search for the quest on youtube. There are videos for pretty much every quest in the game.

The quest lines are designed to be played in a series so that if you are playing along throughout the expansion they will flow properly. When you try to “jump back in”, however, things can get janky, because the quests that pop up in your log don’t have a marker on them saying “This quest unlocks all of 8.3, and if you don’t do me ASAP, you will be locked out of 8.3 content until you do!” – it just sits there unless you do it.
Wowhead can be helpful for things like this, in terms of searching things like “how to start cloak quest line” and then looking at the comments to articles there where there is often someone in your situation who explains what to do.

Use the power of Google, search the 25 quests or less you have in your log for the main line on WoWhead. Should take you three minutes. Then continue that quest.
This looks like a ruse though, you just want to go on about how retail is too confusing and Classic is perfect.

You got a carry without being able to find out how to get your mount, now that’s rich.
i got an add-on called azeroth autopilot. normally, itd be helpful but if you do things like boost a char and then try to complete older stuff, it also becomes a tangled mess. you end up having to do long quest chains, some of which are not even related to what you need, just to get that stuff out of the database of unfinished content.
for example, they no longer automatically give you your wod garrison if you boost. so no hearthstone for the garrison and no khadgar to give you quest chain to go to wod. you have to use a mage portal in the mage tower to get to draenor, then backtrack to velen and company standing on the shore of shadowmoon valley if you’re alliance, just to open your garrison quest chain. and if you’re new, you wouldnt have the foggiest notion lol
You have to open Nazjatar and get to the point where magni gets you to unlock essences before you will have access to the chamber of heart. Then Valeera will have the quest for you.
