They can be pretty useful. Personally, though, they usually just annoy me since I never remember I have a stack of them until I’m already running back to my flattened corpse.
I cast it for my sister when she needs a Dal port, and she always ‘falls’ for it!
I hear her yelling at me from her room. ![]()
LOL, Oh Dalaran city of mages your persona processes you.
10/10 mages
Keep reeling them in

That’s what disengage is for friend.
None of the mages in my guild play portal roulette after raid. It’s honestly been the biggest disappointment this year.
Remember the days when the Direbrew Remote was one click? So many people ported to Black Rock during the Dragonsoul LFR! Now there’s a confirm box. Oh well.
there’s a few quests that I think the entire purpose is to kill players who click and afk.
One of which you mentioned, another is the alliance side Nazmir quest incursion, where we ride a bat into a cave. Afk and when you land you’re more than likely to insta-aggro a mob.
There were some in legion, something around Tanaan Jungle but I can’t remember specifics. Most people would see the objective bubble and jump in not realizing they would be jumping to their death.
Yeah, how people even pressed that is beyond me though. Honestly if people did press it they were definitely ones you wanted out of the LFR lol. Bit of an IQ test before pull.
I just wish I liked Mage more so that I could be the roulette guy, but honestly I just don’t vibe with the class.
Oh I should say my current one is the danger gate. Just setup a random Lock gateway into aggro range of a mob and watch people press it.
It’s a bug. You’re only supposed to lose most of your health when you hit the ground.
