Am I OP or did Blizz make TWW too easy?

ITT: People complaining that quests and normal dungeons, designed to be completed by literal amoeba, are too easy for any multi-cellular organisms.

If you want hard content, wait until September 10th/17th and you’ll be singing a very different tune.

They hand out great gear like candy now, so people carried over really OP gear into this new expansion.

This might be the biggest gear gap of prior expansion gear vs what drops in the new expansion we have ever had.

Leveling has never been challenging.

Although I do accept that for some people, for whom WoW was their first video game, they might have had trouble back in 2005.

However, now that people have learned how to play, the selfsame experience is trivial.

I find this comment rather ironic because I watched world first raiders dying left and right during the Classic launch while they were leveling.

There’s a 123 ilvl gap between Heroic Amirdrassil and Heroic Spider Palace, I think.

Which… unfortunately… isn’t unusually large. Blizzard always does this. It’s the biggest source of ilvl inflation, long term. :frowning:

Set bonuses also aren’t disabled. I remember that stuff and legendaries being disabled for DF prepatch

The content is the easiest I’ve ever seen it on launch (yes even with our enhanced power levels) it does become a lot harder though, as far as the beta went then level difficulties would spike pretty drastically as you get into harder content.

Since I never watch other people play video games, I can’t really comment.

Are you sure they weren’t just trying to gin up laughs on their stream, though?

If you were over 500ilevel to start you’re going to feel that way till about level 76. Then you start losing power quick due to stat weights.

The issue Blizzard has is they have to make those starting levels easy so that people who are coming into an expansion with subpar gear don’t get insta gibbed.

This is why LFR and Normal mode needs to go bye bye. I’m sick of the 4 raid mode nonsense they have been pushing down our throats for over a decade. It is the biggest source of ilevel inflation in the game.

We don’t need LFR or Normal mode raids anymore, especially with storymode coming.

I’d say the 123 ilvl jump overnight is a much bigger problem.

But agree that LFR can get dropped with solo raids coming. And probably Normal, too, since its novelty was scalable raid size and Heroic also has that, now.

My ret pally hit 80 this morning. I thought something felt off. Glad o see others in this thread saying similar. My pally started with only 483 ilvl. I mean that’s not super geared . Now he’s at 530. It does get a little more challenging around level 78 with quests sending you to battle more and more elites. But even that it’s not like holy poop hard. Just harder.

But anyway it’s a blast I mean the questing , enjoyed it a lot.

I think blizz should tune the mobs across the board maybe 10% more damage and health. That should make it feel better.

No, they were legit dying from pulling mobs like they were playing retail.

It was hilarious to watch.

Vanilla leveling actually requires you to pay attention, because of how weak your character is vs the mobs. Even in raid gear, you still had to watch out in the max level zones.

Blizzard really needs to rethink how much power players are given now vs the world content. I wish they would just use the PVP ilevel scaling for instances.

PVE gear scaling that only is active in instances.

There are some rares out there that will make you run away. Other than that, both my BM and feral just bulldoze everything in their path with a 502 and 484 ilvls.

I havnt looked at your gear. But you must remember that the leveling of the game
is tuned for characters that are in nothing but quest greens (very low iLvL).
The higher a characters iLvL is above quest greens, The more over powered that
character will be for leveling. If it isnt that way anymore. Then I never read it
was differnt now.

Going from “easy” to harder makes sense within reason and principal.

because shouldn’t be just nice and easy sunshine blue skies waiving to the Quilboars then all sudden! Dark storm clouds break your balls nervous breakdown type of gameplay.

That’s not good, nope.

assuming you did the pre-patch event and have mid 400’s to 500 level gear for mindlessly chasing hogger and other memories? That is way above what the expac was designed for. Enjoy it with the alts you geared and rawr strutt your bad self? cheers.

The hard part of vanilla isn’t actually the content, it’s the atrocious class and system design.

Seeing it now, it’s very obvious that blizzard in 2004 didn’t really know what they were doing on either of those fronts.

Hitting Cata leveling in ICC gear made everything feel like a joke until Twilight Highlands.

Just wait… I hate being 80 and everything a struggle… everything. No plans to level alts… it’s much better being a lowbie.
