You remember the AV Classic devs absolutely did not want.
They had great reasons for it.
Btw…I recall they adjusted a legendary version previously because Horde were dominant, no joke.

I hate to be that person but… we were still doing this strategy in 1.5 AV. The only difference was we capped a graveyard or two along the way for safety. The rush strat works better if the other faction is also doing it.
These days more often than not both factions are doing this strat because a 5 minute AV with a couple thousand honor is better than a 45 minute AV that awards only double that. Even losses with this strategy are faster than wins with the long game in mind to gain honor. And that’s what this is really about. Gotta do the honor race to get as high as you can so you can “start doing PvP” with ridiculous gear.
Such as it went almost 15 years ago, so as it does now.
Tired of seeing these dumb posts that state since we knew what we were getting we should be happy.
News flash Captain Obvious. We were never happy with the news that we were getting this version of AV!
And yet, here you are.
Version 1.5 in Retail right now is also kind of same … with alliance trying for fast losses.
Can’t fix a player problem .
Why won’t people continue to Zerg AV for honor? THAT grind doesn’t end.
AV has always been the worst PvP BG. Nothing new about that.
And yet here you are, along with several other people acting heart broken that AV sucks and how it’s nothing close to how you remember it being.
Sure you can if you change the incentives facing players.
How about loser gets jack squat, for example? That would change player behavior right quick.
Then they will cry for not getting anything in losses … like how players cry about CQ points in retail BG’s
