If you browse through this thread you might not have seen yet, you’ll find that a great many people aren’t getting doubloons to drop reliably. It does appear that their drop rate has been nerfed to the bottom of the sea in a sunken ship where a rusty old footlocker is tightly clamped shut with all the doubloons that were left in the world.
Getting 13 at once is quite the coup! I think a bag of some random amount should be rewarded for every Island completed and that’s just for starters. The doubloons should be something one can count on, with additional loot being likely enough that if you do a few Islands, you’d get some new pet or piece of gear. Or…swoons…one of the non-existent mounts.
Be sure to share your experiences with the Bornakk thread so they can see another Island explorer coming up empty-handed for the most part! Let them hear our pleas for the doubloons! ^.^
