Alts can't reach new raid without each completing chapter 4

You don’t have to do it on your alts just have them be summoned or complete all of the chapters on your main and then they can fly over .

Its a matter of opinion. I am with the otehr guy , if you want to treat an alt the same as your main then it is no longer an alt - its a second main.

Alt or 2nd main , I still say that if you want something on a particular toon , earn it on that toon . nothing should be account wide

They shouldnt- it was introduced to appease all the lazy whingers who cant be bothered to play the game as it should be .

This is a character based game , our characters are never in the game at the same time . they have never met --how in hell should they be able to share stuff

True, the game started focus like a DnD campaing with your own character, leveling was a meaningful process and alts were uncommon, however it moved to an account settings, Devs should go full into an Account philosophy for new implementations.

I felt like I reached gm island after I used super frog jump then goblin glided over there. I thought for sure invisible wall would have taken me down lol.

WoW is competing with games that provide all access to multiple classes, some aspects of the game need to be account wide, like questlines and cosmetics collections.

Earn your gear by engaging in the game, that was the best from MoP/WoD

This is kinda dumb, but with summons being a thing and account wide flying soon it probably isn’t a huge deal.

Except there already is a skip coming - flight. So PvE for an hour on your alt to unlock the flight path, or wait a few weeks to unlock flight with your main.

And get Ion disagrees with you. Simp harder.

Let’s hope there are at least two mains in each group! Still a dumb decision. Also the complaint will be unnecessary in two weeks because it won’t matter once you unlock flying.

Um.

I have not completed chapter 4 and was able to raid just fine?

True, but impressions matter, they could add an account wide flight path unlock once you complete chapter 4, As you mentioned people are lazy… so if i were a Dev developing the game, i’ll design around that instead of just ignoring a small thing to wait for fly or goblin gliders, even better i’ll suggest to connect all flight paths.

I just logged on 10 alts for the world boss and the skip doesn’t provide the flight path near to Firim, it’s not a big deal but it could be part of the skip, as programmers you must learn about User-Friendly Programming, so it shocks me that they just prefer to ignore this kind of facts for a few weeks.

It’s objectively an absurd comment. I have many toons I raid on. I don’t consider them mains because I don’t spend as much time on them to upkeep. Your main is the one you spend the most time on progressing. If I want to go do the normal raid on an alt and my main unlocked heroic and has AOTC, that alt is not a main, and it most certainly shouldn’t have to wait for flying or have access to the raid be gated in any way. It’s silly to even argue against.

True, I don’t like to wait for summons and actually as warlock i must do the summons, so i always try to reach the raid, this tuesday , i couldn’t complete the questline on time for raid and i’ve to wait for it…

They couldn’t. Because the questline specifically has you click on the transporter.

Outside of heirloom flightpaths, we always have to discover flightpaths on our own.

If people are raiding and know that this is blocked by the questline, then take the hour to do it. You’re a raider, you know what’s required of you. Or tell your guild, “Hey, sorry, I don’t have time to finish it before raid, so I’ll need a summons.” No guild is going to be pissed or kick you out because you didn’t have time to finish a questline.

If there weren’t other ways to get there and if it took days to do this questline, I’d say this is an issue. But there’s a summoning stone, goblin gliders and the questline is an hour.

Exactly, they could add a heirloom flightpath once you complete this last chapter, i think they just went for fliying will be available soon, so we won’t bother with that.

True and those workaround as you mentioned are available, even suggested by wowhead last tuesday, i just see this kind of minor issues like a miss opportunity, like cosmic flux acquisition / spent ratio, it won’t cause a major problem among players but it feels like something that they could add during those development phases, at least for Alts, i really like that questline for my main to unlock the raid entrance, like an Attunement from previous expansions.

I just explained why they can’t, though.

To me, there have been a lot of issues with alts. But this wasn’t one of them.

I don’t get your point, the questline requires to click on the teleporter but it’s the same with Alts that just learn flightpath without clicking those, they can provide an accout wide flightpath heirloom to learn all those connections.

It’s a matter of perspective, IMO gear progression as you mentioned on your thread is a small issue, but you’re right it feels weird that ZM starts lower that Korthia.

The teleporter clicking would break the quest. And if they phased it, you’d end up with people starting the questline, phased to it locked, which would just cause more issues. It has to be locked for the questline.

Perhaps. But there are options to get to the raid, whereas there are no other world gearing options. But I understand others will view things differently and that’s okay.
