Alts and stuffs

While its super simple to swap specs within a class and then learn the rotation and do fairly well.

But i think its more fun (and gives a nice break), re-leveling a new character in said spec

This is why i have multiples of many classes. Anyone else?

Of course! Hell I’ve been doing it just to try different builds of the same spec lately, since timerunning is just so fast.

New builds? Lol I thought I was pushing the extremes with just doing it for new alts of the same class lol

The only class I play multiple specs is Hunter. Because of the different best stats, I have 2. Makes it easier to gear when you can specialize. Vs double gearing a single character

Just Hunter? I think every character (minus DK i suppose) that I have, I’ve got 2+ of

I have five Evokers.

Thought you could only have 2? Wasn’t there some weird rule about how many Evokers you can have? Or is it like 2 per server only?

One per sever. But Sentinels, Kirin Tor and Steamwheedle are Connected Realms. Then I have one on MG and one on WrA for RP… that I never do anymore. lol

Hunter has BM/MM.

Only other classes I play are Shadow Priest and Ret Pally. So no need for multiples. I did make a Pally & SPriest in remix, but with War Bands, they aren’t needed. So I deleted them, Even holiday events no longer require an alt army. Heck, all I need from holiday events are from Brew Fest, so even less of a need for alts.

I have 5 paladins, 5 hunters, and 3 each of everything else.

Except for dracthyr… I just can’t evoker

I am an rper so this velf hunter is different from my helf hunter, and both are different from my orc hunter, and so on. Also multiple alts of the same class makes for better luck mog farming!

Yes.

It’s a lot easier to learn a new spec one step at a time than to swap at max level and try to figure it out.

I have all sorts of reasons to have multiple alts. I have multiple hunters and warlocks just so I can dress them in different colors. Those are my main and principal alts. Some of them are also different specializations.

Then I have others just to try different classes. With those I tend to stick to what ever class is best for questing.

I generally have multiples of the same class for either other servers, or for RP purposes. Or sometimes they release a new race and I think it’d be pretty cool as x class.

Also Zandalari druid, because zoomies when farming. I think she’s faster in cat form than mounted in pre-shadowlands content.

All of my characters keep the spec I make them as, never changing, for any reason. If I want to try a new spec, I just make a new alt, although at this point I’m out of space for that. There aren’t many alts that are different specs either, I usually pick the one I like and go with it, like all of my hunters are BM, I don’t care for the other two specs. I don’t tank or heal for dungeons or raids, but I do have a few tanks, just for PVEing though. I love all mage specs, so have multiples of those, and I have some different warriors as well, but overall I pick a spec I like and all future alts are the same spec. /shrug
