Alternate to Faction Transfers

Free or paid faction transfers will not work for the simple reason most people don’t want to switch but think others should. I agree free faction transfer will bring some players over to Alliance but nowhere near the needed numbers necessary to lower bg que times down even one minute. My suggestion is offer the free transfers and reevaluate the numbers. Then do forced faction transfers to randomly selected. The selected players will login and will be prompted to select a new Alliance race based on their class.

Lol that is insane. Forced transfers lmao. Your crazy!!!

I mean, it is a “viable” solution. There have been times in WoW’s history as well as other MMOs where devs have not allowed you to select X faction on Y realm.

They’ve also offered incentives like faster leveling, more in game currency, faster reputation, etc. to balance this out. Paid transfers complicate that, but the OP’s suggestion is not without precedent.

What do you mean not without precedent. He isn’t saying prevent people from making horde but flat out saying just faction change people they want to. That is insane and there is no precedent for that!

I missed that last bit (it’s late). First part of post is fine…and ya that last part is ridiculous.

Forced = hell no, that’ll break up guilds and friends. One could offer to faction transfer large guilds en masse (if they agreed).

Free transfers = sure. Why not.

remove racials

It really is the problem, people rolled horde to get an easier experience and thinking selfishly. To think horde players will willingly transfer is crazy, they’ll just wait for everyone else to do it so they can play horde with lessened queue time.

This is probably the best idea I’ve seen on the forums to address “this problem.”

There should be tributes each week. The lottery puts you into an arena with the other tributes and you fight til the last person is left alive. The winner gets to stay horde, the losers all get faction changed.

As long as free A->H transfers exist, you don’t need to worry about splitting up friendship groups, the friends can just follow. The ones that don’t follow are just not that good friends I guess.

They’ve threatened it in the past.

Then do forced faction transfers to randomly selected

See the above article. Modern blizzard would never have the balls. They give in to the whiners.

The one thing it did do is make sure a lot of us transferred who didn’t plan to when they first announced the free transfers.

It’s like the draft. lol
