So basically your experience of the BG is not based on the BG version, but rather your server imbalance.

My servers NEVER won as alliance. Never ever. Right up until it was nerfed into the ground, and alliance always won (unless horde very occasionally rebelled and wiped them at galv). Even then it was an uphill battle. And as the game went on, fewer and fewer horde even left the cave. Honestly, i thought i was jinxed. When i was alliance, horde reigned supreme. When i flipped to horde around 1.9 and came to US servers, alliance triumphed. And when i came back to alliance at BC and warmasters or whatever they were, could no longer be bugged by fd hunters, horde won. And when i popped back to horde post cave nerf, alliance were back on winning ways. One might suggest theres a common denominator here. But id rather think blizzard were deliberately harassing me.
I’m hoping for the old style epic AV. It being days long was just so much more epic. It really felt like a long siege. If I want to play speed AV I can just queue up in retail. The more epic AV is one of the reason I want to play Classic and I do hope they go with that version!

That would require actual communication from blizzard concerning classic.

They changed it mostly because casuals didn’t like the long play time, and the fact it could take months to get enough tokens to get anything.
Same reason we got LFD in BC, to cater to casuals and note, 1.12 is supposed to be for the balance, not the overall nitty gritty things like BG’s tuning, and more so asking for those to be addressed is staying with Classic as everyone enjoyed some form of classic, and yes, that’s what the dev’s sad, ‘most balanced form of classic wow’ with regards to classes btw.
If you are talking about Marks of Honor, they were not used for gear during vanilla. Just honor.

Bumping for old AV!
I am hoping for more pvp in AV as there were times it ended up just being a race to kill the bosses and to win it was better to avoid actual pvp. The race to kill the bosses was great for honor and marks but it was lame and not engaging at all, please give us the epic battles back!

Mostly rep, at least untill you were exalted, they were what gave you the rep ( mostly ) for the factions.
