Alterac Valley Queues

There is a really simple solution. Let horde/alliance queue against other horde/alliance and just have it setup as wargames(mock battles for practice.)

I’ve suggested that along with a few others, then the #nochange crowd and die hard factions come in here and say no
 re-roll to opposite faction

Reroll is really the best option for you.

Problem with re-roll option, is it’s something that won’t fix the queues for 2-3 months from now. Even longer if the person has to maintain their main. Short term solution is Blizzard just fix the coding or add features from “gasp” retail.

mercs addresses this problem.

Then they need to maybe incentive the alliance into ques. Double honor or something. Maybe make it so they can rank 3 times faster.

Better yet since most alliance rankers are there for rank 12 - 14 gear. Allow the alliance to buy ot with honor like the 2.0 honor system.

Horde ques would drop drastically as all the alliance raiders be getting their gear.

That’s was essential the 1st week of AV (my queue times as a Horde where 1-4 minutes based on the time of day between matches). However once the Alliance got what they wanted, the Horde queue times went up as a result. The bonus weekends that will start this next week with the release of AB might make queue times faster for the Horde, but it benefit’s both factions in gaining honor and reputation.

As someone that has played pvp on both factions. I can say in a general sense. Alliance is only there for the rep rewards and rank 12 - 14 gear. To legit fix Horde que times alliance needs the instant gratification and easy win rate. Why if its changed so alliance can buy gear with tokens and honor. Ques be fixed.

It’s difficult to enjoy PvP that is inherently flawed to favor the opposing side. With only 4 wins in 4 days on a map that favors my opponents what motivation do I have to continue playing? Sorry about your queue times but I’m taking my ball and I’m going home once I finish this rep grind.

If they flip the map, Horde starting in the North and The Alliance in the South and the winning streak still goes 70-80% Horde favor then was it the map or the team that had more drive to win? Horde cave we know moves, but to be true to the Vanilla era they can’t or won’t do it without pissing a section of the player base off. If they refuse to make any map changes or institute and player made suggestions then they will lose another part of the player base. Activision/Blizzard is in a no win situation.

Pretty sure blizzard can see this?

Blizzard could potentially solve the issue by showing server population sizes as they are when you are creating your character. I heard some pservers did this and it helped thwart massive faction imbalance

You have 3 choices:

  1. Wait for your long que.
  2. Switch to Alliance for shorter que.
  3. :joy: in forums.

Overflow of horde could fill in alliance spots. Everyone gets faster queues but you have to play along side us gnomes , no stomping us

Back in the day, when we did not even have cross realm queuing
sometimes we queued ALL day, for a single AV match.

AV was never the honor farm meta in vanilla.
That is something new we invented.
WSG was the honor grinder with it’s fast matches and small zone.

Ya them Tauren, they don’t look down a lot, then again would you want to look up and see dingle berry’s? Then those undead, they might nibble on you.
