The 2 biggest issues for alliance in AV are 1) more AFK players, often 2-3x the amount of horde, and 2) fewer top geared/rankers on their team.
The two add up over time, every engagement in a bg will add up and those differences in aggregate grow over time. You end up with a lot more HKs on the horde side due to simply having more players and having better geared players.
Just look at the scoreboard, the map doesn’t have that much to do with the often widespread differential in HKs.
Well 2 hour queues probably weed out a lot of the bots Horde side seeing as AV is no longer a viable honor farm Horde side if you actually want to rank.
So less bots Horde side while having the same amount of bots Alliance side could be a big part of it.
And besides bots, if you’re actually waiting 2 hours for a BG you might be more motivated to try. Losing is no big deal when you only have to wait 5 minutes.
I mean, I’ve noticed anywhere from 6-8 alliance sitting around with 0 kills, 0 deaths while typically the number of horde is less than 3-4. It matters over time.
A lot of the time that’s because people AFK out from it taking to long to be done. Horde denying LT kills. No honor gain because they can’t get past chokepoints. What’s the point in staying.
I was actually in one pug that had 0 honor after a 30 minute fight, because Horde literally patrolled the LTs non stop. They play Defensive around LTs until the casuals broke and stopped ressing. It’s incredibly sweaty from our point of view lol.
Personally I’ve been queuing WSG as a relatively high ranked premade. Seen basically nothing but pugs because we get dodged by 99% of alliance premades.
Cool, so let’s advocate random starts. That way any map advantage on either side will be evenly split over time. And if alliance still lose nearly 100% then it’s something other than the map.
“Alliance Premades win consistently in 6 minutes.”
Seems odd that a coordinated group can break the game and win in 6 minutes over thousands of games with a 99% win rate on a map that so heavily is bias against them.
How many elites and non elites stack with the archers and defenders on the RH flag in the Horde base?
Concerning backdoors, which are an issue, there are ways into both Ally and Horde bases. The one for the Horde base is even out of range of archers and drops you by the RH. Both should be patched.
There are many factors at play outside of the map structure as well. Without isolating the features impacting wins you can’t point to one and say this causes it.
Yes. That used to happen a ton on both sides back in vanilla. I figured it would be common again. Hell, it never went away. People do it a ton in retail.
Yeah, Alliance premades do it I know. Once again, Horde premades dont do it because of our queues. Then again, the one I’m in we practically beg for premades not to dodge so we can have actual fun/competative games. I dont get the appeal of stomping pugs, theres no satisfaction to it.
Mm I just wish these races could express their opinion without trying to either slander or put down other groups of people. It seems 95% of irrational and derogatory statements come from specific race and class combinations.
Edit: I guess we will have to wait for the final white paper on this once all the data is collected. Until then, thank you for your input on our methodology. Please enjoy your free cookie on the way out.
Sorry. you lost me at, "Waaaaa! Too many non-60’s are losing the game for me… Waaaaaa! not enough 60’s have epic mounts are losing the game for me!
you say you havn’t won an AV in how long?
The last time you capped a Tower, and then rode away from it, leaving 3 allies to defend it v 12 horde? -YOU lost the game yourself. The last time you rezzed at a GY and immediately rode out of it and not taking a turn defending it, only for that GY to be overrun 12 v 3? You lost the game yourself. The last time you rode away, leaving the non-epic mount allies to be picked off by the horde and not working as a WHOLE team, and not just looking out for #1? YOU lost the game.
thanks for your input though. Nice to know who the non-team players are.
I just want the factions/races to be swapped for one week so we can actually see how big the difference is. Is that so much to ask? (Yes, yes it is considering how much programming that would require and how atrocious Blizz is now)
May want to not take everything you hear at face value.
Otherwise, were this true, the Horde would still be spawning AT Balinda, because that is where blizz moved their starting place to at one point for some odd reason, and they did correct it to where they are now, and then much later in TBC moved them again.
Why dont you organize them, have them run resources, capture mines etc, lots of tasks they can do very well that dont require them in full epic level 60 pvp gear.
